The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 74 Part 6

However, there was only one jar of medicine left, and the fox was hurt too…

Wang Jin lowered his gaze, thinking for a moment, then gritted his teeth and dragged himself over to the fox’s side, leaning against it. The fox stiffened, turning its head to glare at him in displeasure.

Wang Jin’s face twisted in pain as he weakly said, "Stretch out your paw."

This fox must be a beastman.

The beast horde drove all savage beasts into madness, but this one had the sense to save him—so he must be a beastman.

Still, he had never seen a beastman in any form other than a tiger. He didn’t know which tribe this one belonged to.

Nor did he understand why he seemed unwilling to shift back into human form.

But Wang Jin didn’t care. Right now, the medicinal paste would be far more useful on this beastman than on a helpless ger like himself.

"…?" Paw?

The fox’s eye seemed to twitch, but he didn’t move.

Wang Jin glared at him. When he still refused, he reached out to grab his injured front leg.

"!" The fox startled, jerking back, but Wang Jin was faster.

Examining the leg, he saw two bloody puncture wounds. Gritting his teeth, he tore off a strip of his robe and roughly wiped the wounds before smearing the paste over them carefully.

"…" The fox’s eyes widened in shock, disbelief clear in his gaze.

Since when did this spoiled brat know how to care for others?

Once finished, Wang Jin nudged it. "Show me your belly."

"……"

When the fox didn’t move, Wang Jin pushed at him again. The fox stared at him as if it didn’t even recognize him.

The ger’s features were so exquisite they seemed carved by the heavens, his fair skin so tender it looked like it could be pinched to water. The slightest bump would leave a bruise…

Everything about him is the same as before—so why does he feel so different now?

After a moment of hesitation, the fox finally turned slightly, exposing the gashes on his belly.

Wang Jin bent down, studying them closely before scooping out a large dollop of the paste and applying it carefully.

His soft fingertips brushed against the most vulnerable part of the fox’s belly, sending shivers across his skin, leaving him stiff and tense.

Meanwhile, the ger’s own shoulder wound had begun bleeding again from his movements, yet he seemed completely unaware, wholly focused on tending to the fox as if it were the most important task.

Hadn’t this ger always been the most pain-averse, the most selfish, putting himself first in everything?

So why is he now ignoring his own injuries to treat me first?

The fox scrutinized Wang Jin, as if trying to see right through him.

Wang Jin didn’t notice. In truth, he was in so much pain he just wanted to finish treating the fox quickly so he could find a place to rest.

After spreading the medicinal paste, he added another thin layer before finally capping the jar and setting it aside.

"I know you’re a beastman. I don’t know who you are or which tribe you’re from, but thank you for saving me. The medicine is here—if it rubs off, reapply it yourself. Once you’re better, can you help me break out of here? Find a beastman named Yuan Heng from the Danmu Tribe and tell him to come for me. Okay?" Clutching his bleeding wound, Wang Jin shifted to a slightly more comfortable position and spoke softly.

The fox’s eyes widened in shock.

This person… doesn't recognize me?

Had he lost his mind?

Or is this some kind of trick?

The fox remained silent, watching him warily.

Wang Jin sighed. "If you don’t say anything, I’ll take that as a yes. I’m tired, I need to sleep."

With that, the ger lay down right there on the ground and closed his eyes.

Whether he truly fell asleep or not, his breathing soon evened out.

The fox eyed him suspiciously, keeping his distance as if afraid Wang Jin would cling to him in his sleep.

But the ger didn’t. Instead, he seemed restless, murmuring something faintly in his dreams…

His small frame curled into a tight ball on the hard ground, as if cold or uncomfortable, rising and falling with each breath like a tiny hill…

Strangely… it was almost cute.

The fox shuddered and quickly looked away.

Since when did he find this spoiled brat cute? Had rolling through the beast horde and barely surviving scrambled his brains?

Huffing, the fox turned his back on Wang Jin and closed his eyes to rest.

Yet the places where the medicine had been applied still seemed to carry the lingering warmth of the ger’s touch… the memory of those slender fingers and how soft they had been…

Against his will, the fox’s gaze kept drifting back to that little human hill.

Finally, with a resigned flick of his tail, he stood and padded over, curling into a circle beside him.

The ger, as if sensing a heat source, gradually shifted closer, resting his head against the fox’s body and stretching out slightly. Though his brows were still furrowed… his expression had eased.

"Brother Heng…" As the fox adjusted his position to make him more comfortable, he caught the ger’s soft murmur.

The voice was sticky-sweet, like calling out to a beloved…

The fox frowned. He had never heard the ger call anyone like that before.

Not even… him.

Brother Heng…

Yuan Heng? The Yuan Heng from Danmu Tribe? The one he wanted to find?

Had this spoiled brat met another beastman while he was gone?

What kind of relationship did they have, for him to call out so sweetly…?
