The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 70

Chapter 70

"…!" The leader widened his eyes, staring at Wang Jin, his face dark with displeasure: "What exactly do you mean by this?"

"You should go back and ask Yue ger what he means." Wang Jin tossed the question back, his cunning expression making him look like a well-crafted fox.

"…" The leader's fingers trembled, his clenched fists shaking so hard they nearly came apart. "Don’t tell me you think A-Yue did this on purpose?"

He never said that.

Wang Jin’s eyes flickered. For the leader to respond like this, could it be that he himself had already harbored such thoughts?

Thinking this, Wang Jin replied, "Whether it was intentional or not, I believe the leader, having spent day and night with Yue ger, must understand him better than I do."

As he spoke, those clear, penetrating eyes stared straight at him, boring deep into his soul, as if dragging out the secrets hidden in his heart and laying them bare before everyone…

The leader panicked, then a surge of anger erupted from the depths of his heart, rushing up until his scalp tingled. He needed an outlet, somewhere to vent this raging fury.

Glaring at Wang Jin, he roared furiously, "Enough! I won’t allow anyone to speak ill of A-Yue! Before, he just wanted to eat those fruits and meats, it was my own idea to come ask Yuan Heng for help. And now, he’s simply sick and needs the Rui grass! Don’t you dare try to drive a wedge between me and A-Yue!"

"…" Drive a wedge?

Wang Jin’s eye twitched. "I’d sooner wish you a happy union for a hundred years. Why would I drive a wedge between you two? If you want to lie to yourself, then go ahead."

Wang Jin spoke carelessly, his demeanor clearly dismissive.

The leader gritted his teeth, ignored him, and turned to Yuan Heng: "This Rui Grass is no small matter. You must come with me."

"…" Yuan Heng, who had been staring fixedly at the little ger, finally shifted his gaze to the leader. He shook his head.

The leader clenched his fingers, his voice low and heavy. "I'm the leader of the Danmu tribe. I order you to go. If you refuse, you’re disobeying orders, and I can choose to banish you—"

His eyes slid to Wang Jin. "—both of you from the tribe!"

"!" Wang Jin bared his teeth in anger. "I’ve never seen someone so selfish!"

Yuan Heng’s expression darkened. He stared silently at the leader, his light-colored pupils suddenly deepening like unfathomable ink.

"Do you know what you’re saying?" After a long pause, he spoke slowly, each word heavy as a hammer striking the leader’s heart, making his heart race.

Even though he was the leader, in front of this man, it felt as though Yuan Heng was the one giving orders.

The leader’s face twisted. Gnashing his teeth, he said, "Is what I’m saying wrong? Defying the leader’s orders means being prepared to be exiled. Oh, and that lunatic seems quite close with that cripple, why don’t I have both your families leave together?"

"Try laying a finger on A-Mu!" Wang Jin snarled, stepping forward to kick the leader. Yuan Heng pulled him back, soothing him by gently stroking his hair, like calming a cat.

"Brother Heng, hit him!" Wang Jin gnashed his teeth, his fiery temper making him look like a little leopard baring its claws. But when he lifted his gaze to the man, his pouting expression resembled a bristling kitten, his soft voice like the rapid, indignant murmurs of a young cat.

Yuan Heng’s heart softened. The anger in his chest suddenly dissipated, as if a hole had been torn open, letting it all escape.

He continued stroking the ger's hair, then turned his gaze to the man across from them—who had already assumed a battle stance.

Yuan Heng gave him a disdainful glance, as if mocking the leader’s combat ability.

Humiliated, the leader’s expression turned ugly.

Only then did Yuan Heng slowly speak: "Are you sure?"

His tone was grave, as if asking about something of great importance. The leader hesitated, confusion flashing in his eyes.

"Sure about what?"

Yuan Heng lowered his lashes, casting shadows under his eyes that made his expression seem gloomy. But upon closer inspection, nothing could be discerned.

"I’m asking if you’re sure you want me to retrieve Rui grass." Yuan Heng spoke again, his lowered lashes completely concealing the darkness and calculations in his eyes.

The leader couldn’t grasp Yuan Heng’s meaning, so he answered according to his own thoughts: "Of course."

"Ha!" Yuan Heng let out a scornful laugh, as if the person before him was utterly beneath his regard.

The leader, the highest authority of the Danmu tribe, had never been treated with such contempt. Furious, he was about to assert his dominance—

But the man had already pushed open the door, coldly ushering him out: "Understood. Go back. This time, you and I will act separately."

His voice was devoid of the earlier mockery - flat and emotionless, yet inexplicably chilling. The leader wanted to rebuke him, but the moment he looked up—

The man’s sharp gaze was like an ice-carved blade, assaulting him from all directions. Despite being a leader who had commanded respect for years, he couldn’t withstand even a moment of eye contact with such a gaze.

He practically fled out the door. The moment he stepped outside, the door slammed shut behind him with a loud "bang!", as if he were entirely unwelcome.

The leader gnashed his teeth, only to hear a soft voice from inside:

"Keep an eye on your own ger, and stop letting him covet other people’s beastmen!"

The leader had never felt so humiliated in his life…

But his ger was sick and refused to see a healer, what else could he do?

"If you want to lie to yourself, then go ahead." The lunatic’s words echoed in his ears like a curse. The leader clenched his fists tightly.

It was true, no ger would demand their beastman fetch fruits or meats beyond their capability… Yet his ger was obsessed with…

Did he really want him to retrieve them? Or was it…

The leader shook his head, not daring to think further.

He strode home, likely unaware of how pale his face had become, his lips bloodless, blending into his ashen skin.

After the leader left, Wang Jin shot the man a reproachful look. Though his expression was accusatory, his eyes were damp, his soft lips slightly pouted in dissatisfaction, making Yuan Heng see nothing but grievance in them.

Yuan Heng’s heart softened. His fingers twitched, gently pinching the tender flesh on the back of the little ger’s hand.

Wang Jin’s hand went numb, the sensation spreading straight to his heart. He looked up at the man, only to find those warm eyes fixed on him, so full of affection it made his heart sweeten.

His expression eased slightly. Noticing this, Yuan Heng spoke softly: "I'm going to retrieve Rui grass."

"…" Wang Jin’s hand stiffened. He frowned at the man, disapproval clear in his eyes—and beneath that, Yuan Heng seemed to detect a sticky reluctance.

Indeed, fetching Rui grass would take at least four days.

Yuan Heng’s heart itched as if brushed by a feather. He lowered his head, pecking the little ger’s lips lightly. "I’m going for my little ger. My little ger’s body is weak, this Rui grass strengthens the body. I must get it to nourish him."

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 69

Chapter 69

The next morning, someone arrived at Wang Jin's house.

The man stood with his hands behind his back, his expression stern, clad in animal hides yet exuding an air of authority. This man was none other than the leader of the Danmu tribe.

"Rui Grass?" Just as Wang Jin was about to step out of the house, he heard Yuan Heng's surprised voice. Wang Jin paused mid-step and retreated back inside.
[Rui (瑞): auspicious, lucky]

"Yue ger is gravely ill. That Rui Grass can cure all ailments, I want to find it to treat him," the leader said.

"You're his beastman. It's only right for you to seek medicinal herbs for him," Yuan Heng replied softly.

The leader said, "Rui Grass grows deep in the jungle and is extremely rare. Ordinary beastmen can't find it…"

As he spoke, his gaze lingered pointedly on Yuan Heng. Yuan Heng pretended not to notice the obvious hint and responded, "Send more men, and you'll eventually find it."

The leader frowned. "Rui Grass is incredibly precious. Even if you find it, it’s always guarded by fierce, spiritual beasts. Few ordinary beastmen can stand against them."

"Hmm…" Yuan Heng hummed before suggesting, "Then just bring more beastmen to help when the time comes."

"……" The leader stared at Yuan Heng in silence. Yuan Heng averted his eyes, feigning obliviousness.

The leader gritted his teeth so hard his cheeks hollowed.

"Yuan Heng!"

He seemed to squeeze the two words out from between his teeth, his face twisted in anger. "You know exactly what I mean!"

"……" Yuan Heng remained silent. The leader cut straight to the point: "I’m asking for your help."

Though he called it "help," there wasn’t the slightest hint of a plea in his tone.

Yuan Heng’s lips curled in mockery. "I can’t help with this."

The leader’s face darkened instantly, his gaze turning stormy. "Why not? You’re an ancient beastman, this wouldn’t even be difficult for you!"

Yuan Heng shrugged. "No reason. I need to stay with my ger."

"You’re glued to him every single day, isn’t that enough? How much time would finding Rui Grass even take?!" the leader snapped, his tone accusatory, as if Yuan Heng had failed in some duty. But in truth, Yuan Heng had no obligation to help in the first place.

"……" Yuan Heng’s expression soured. "Even if the time were shorter, I could still refuse. But setting that aside, this Rui Grass is a legendary herb, found only in the deepest parts of the jungle. From our tribe, it takes at least two days to get there. Round trip, that’s four days, and that’s not even counting the time spent searching. Does the leader really think that’s a short amount of time?"

The leader’s eyes flickered, but he insisted stubbornly, "It’s just four days. I’d be going with you, and Yue ger and I aren’t as clingy as you two."

Clingy?

If anything, Yuan Heng felt he didn’t have enough time alone with his ger, and now this man was calling it "clingy"?

As if remembering the ger he treasured most, Yuan Heng’s expression softened slightly. He admitted quietly, "I can’t bear to go four days without seeing my ger."

Hidden inside the house, eavesdropping, Wang Jin felt as if someone had lightly stepped on his heart, then proceeded to tap out a rapid drumbeat, sending his pulse into chaos.

"Yuan Heng!" The leader clenched his fists, glaring furiously. "Are you going or not?!"

Yuan Heng waved a hand. "No."

The leader’s glare was so intense it seemed capable of boring holes through Yuan Heng, who found the whole thing amusing. Mockingly, he asked, "Why should I go? Just because you asked for help? Is that really how you ask for favors?"

"I am the leader of the Danmu tribe!" the leader ground out.

Yuan Heng’s smirk deepened. "Leader of the Danmu tribe… Then is what you’re asking me to do related to the entire tribe?"

The leader froze.

Yuan Heng pressed bluntly, "Are you using your position to benefit your personal affairs?"

"You—!" Enraged, the leader grabbed Yuan Heng by the collar. Yuan Heng didn’t back down, his own imposing aura flaring - stronger, even, than the leader’s. His icy expression grew even colder.

Watching the two as if they were about to brawl, Wang Jin blinked in surprise.

Weren’t they supposed to be on better terms now, according to tribe rumors?

This didn’t look like "better terms" at all!

Hastily, Wang Jin pushed the door open and stepped outside.

The noise made both men turn. Seeing Wang Jin, Yuan Heng easily shoved the leader aside and walked over.

"Did we wake you up?" Yuan Heng asked softly.

Wang Jin shook his head, glancing past him at the fuming leader.

He’d heard everything. Of course, he supported Yuan Heng. Four days? He couldn’t stand four days without seeing Yuan Heng either.

Besides, the leader’s attitude was terrible. Still…

Wang Jin stepped forward and addressed the leader. "Rui Grass does cure all illnesses, but it’s a legendary herb. The tribe wouldn’t even think of searching for it unless it was a life-or-death situation. Why would the leader consider it? Did the healer suggest it? Is Yue ger’s illness incurable?"

"You lunatic! What nonsense are you spouting?!" The leader seemed particularly sensitive to this line of questioning, his eyes reddening. "Yue ger isn’t terminally ill! It’s just that the healer is too old to make house calls, and now only Xi ger can treat him. But Yue ger and Xi ger have some unresolved issues, he refuses to see Xi ger, so he thought of Rui Grass. If we can find it, he won’t need a healer at all."

"So… Yue ger was the one who told you to find Rui Grass?" Though phrased as a question, Wang Jin’s tone made it clear he already knew the answer.

Not only that, but his gaze held a trace of pity, as if the leader were some pitiable figure in his eyes.

The leader bristled at the look. "What are you trying to say?!"

Wang Jin’s eyes darted playfully between the man behind him and the leader before he said, "I’m just wondering… Doesn’t the leader find it strange? Isn’t Yue ger your ger?"

"Of course he’s my ger!" The leader’s voice dripped with possessiveness.

Wang Jin gave a faint smirk. "If he’s your ger, then why does he keep sending Brother Heng to find fruits and herbs for him? What does that make Brother Heng?"

"!" The leader stiffened, as if struck by lightning.

Thinking back, it was true... every time, it had been Yuan Heng who located the fruits… the prey…

Even if the leader had been the one to finally pick the fruit or kill the prey, it was always Yuan Heng who found them first.

It was almost as if Yuan Heng was the one serving his ger. But in the world of beastmen, a man was responsible for his own ger.

For Yuan Heng to take on that role, and for the leader to come asking for help, it was almost like tacitly allowing Yuan Heng to pursue his ger… No, worse—it was as if he were acknowledging Yuan Heng as his ger’s beastman.

The leader’s face paled, a cold sweat breaking out. His fingers trembled as he clenched them into fists.

Watching him, a sly glint flashed in Wang Jin’s eyes. He pressed on, "And think carefully, why does Yue ger always send you to find such rare things?"

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 68

Chapter 68

The ger spoke, his tender lips curving into a pleasing arc. His outstanding appearance was already dazzling enough to make it hard to look away, but now, brimming with confidence, he shone like a blazing sun, inspiring admiration in others.

The shrewdness in his eyes would have made anyone else seem cunning, but his gaze was clear and bright. The occasional glint of cleverness only added to his liveliness, not making him the least bit unlikable.

Mu ger seemed infected by his mood, his lips also curving into a smile.

It seemed the ger already had a plan.

That day, Wang Jin asked Mu ger to sew a few more small blankets for him and, as a gesture of gratitude, gifted them to the gers who had spoken up for him.

The next day, those gers all discovered how exceptionally warm the blankets were. Out of curiosity, someone took one apart and found inside a layer of soft, fluffy down—white feathers that were remarkably insulating. The blanket’s warmth came entirely from these fine white down feathers. Not knowing what they were, they went to Wang Jin to ask.

Wang Jin told them but made them promise not to spread the information. They agreed.

Afterward, they went back and had their own beastmen gather the same down, then followed Mu ger’s example to make a few garments stuffed with it.

Before long, the entire tribe learned of a new kind of clothing - light yet incredibly warm, made by sewing two layers of fabric together and stuffing them with some mysterious insulating material. No one knew what it was except Wang Jin, who had discovered this new resource…

With winter approaching, warm clothing was undoubtedly the most sought-after commodity. Wang Jin’s discovery of something even warmer than animal pelts once again benefited the entire tribe.

The negative rumors about Wang Jin naturally died down over the next few days. Many gers came to visit, hoping to ask him about the material. Wang Jin refused to answer them all and set a rule: if they wanted information from him, they had to trade for it.

The gers scowled, calling Wang Jin unfair.

Wang Jin threw their own hypocrisy back at them, citing the harsh words they had spread behind his back.

Guilt-ridden, they slunk away, only to return later with valuable goods from their homes to exchange for Wang Jin’s knowledge.

As for the few gers who had originally spread the rumors, even when they brought offerings, Wang Jin refused them. In the end, they never got the information from him and had to learn it from others.

But the material was bird down. With winter approaching, birds were already scarce. As the entire tribe sought their feathers, their numbers dwindled rapidly. By the time those gers finally learned the truth and went to gather some, the birds had nearly been hunted to extinction, leaving them with no chance to obtain the new resource.

In the end, while the rest of the tribe wore thick down garments, those few gers could only layer thin clothes beneath their animal pelts.

After this incident, the tribe began to reconsider their stance. Those who had never spoken ill of Wang Jin received the warm material and the knowledge freely, while those who had gossiped had to trade many valuable goods just for the information - without receiving any of the material itself.

Everyone understood that Wang Jin was indirectly expressing his displeasure. He made it clear through his actions: if they spoke poorly of him again, they shouldn’t expect to benefit from his future discoveries.

From then on, for the sake of their own interests, the tribe refrained from spreading rumors.

Mu ger and Yu ger witnessed the entire affair, silently admiring Wang Jin’s tactics.

When Yuan Heng returned, he saw the two gers looking at his little ger with the same reverence they usually reserved for beastmen, as if Wang Jin were a dependable protector in their eyes.

Yuan Heng’s brow furrowed. He strode forward, subtly positioning himself between them.

Startled, the two gers realized night was falling and the beastmen had returned from the hunt. They hastily bid farewell and left.

When Wang Jin saw Yuan Heng, his lips parted in delight, about to rush forward—until he suddenly remembered the object he had been fiddling with earlier. He quickly tucked it into his sleeve before looking up at the man.

At that moment, Yuan Heng had just watched the two gers leave and turned his gaze to his little ger.

The ger’s bright eyes and white teeth glowed under the warm sunlight, his cheeks tinged pink like fine rouge brushed over jade.

His clear eyes reflected Yuan Heng’s image perfectly, his whole heart and soul seemingly poured into that gaze, as if Yuan Heng were his entire world.

Yuan Heng’s fingers twitched, his heart pounding. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to the ger’s forehead.

Wang Jin’s face warmed, his fingers trembling slightly—yet his hands naturally looped around Yuan Heng’s neck.

"Brother Heng…"

His soft call, paired with his long lashes lowering to half-cover his damp, alluring gaze, only made him even more enchanting.

Yuan Heng’s eyes darkened. He closed the distance, pecking the ger’s lips several times before taking the delicate hands around his neck and enveloping them in his own palms, as if cradling the ger himself.

Then, he noticed several bright red marks on the ger’s fair hands. His heart clenched, fingers tightening reflexively as he pulled the ger’s hands closer for inspection.

"What happened?"

His voice carried unprecedented distress. Wang Jin’s heart skipped. Seeing that Yuan Heng had noticed the marks, he tried to pull his hands back.

But the man held firm. "Did you get these while teaching those gers again?"

"...Mhm." Wang Jin’s vague response carried a hint of guilt, though inwardly, his heart felt as warm as a heated stove.

"What’s wrong with you?" Yuan Heng’s tone turned childish, his face stern like an angered lion baring its teeth, as if ready to tear apart whoever had hurt his ger.

Yet despite his fearsome expression, his hands were gentle as he applied ointment to the wounds, treating the ger like the most precious treasure in the world.

The stark contrast made Wang Jin’s heart flutter, as if a feather had landed on it, tickling him until he longed to bury himself in the man’s arms and cling to him.

The ger suddenly nuzzled into Yuan Heng’s chest, rubbing against him like a misbehaving pet trying to appease its master. Yuan Heng’s heart softened—until the ger cooed in a sticky-sweet voice:

"Brother Heng…"

The honeyed tone dissolved all of Yuan Heng’s frustration, replacing it with a familiar heat. His body stiffened, fingers gripping the fabric beneath them. Yet the ger remained oblivious, continuing to squirm and coax in his arms, stoking the fire in Yuan Heng’s veins.

Yuan Heng’s ears burned. Trembling slightly, he seized the ger’s wrists, pinning them above his head as he leaned in—

The movement caused the ger’s sleeve to slip, revealing the hidden object Wang Jin had tucked away earlier. A flicker of clarity returned to the ger’s dazed eyes.

He struggled, but the more he resisted, the tighter Yuan Heng’s grip became, his expression growing more restrained, his gaze darker.

Wang Jin’s heart raced. He quickly stilled, whispering shakily, "...Brother Heng… I… I’m hungry…"

His pitiful, soft voice, paired with his flushed cheeks, disheveled hair clinging to his face, and teary eyes, made him look thoroughly ravished.

Yuan Heng’s heart melted. His grip loosened, and the ger’s hands slipped free like eels, the ger himself darting three steps away.

"......" Yuan Heng frowned, about to speak—

"I want sweet-and-sour ribs, grilled bones, and leafy greens!" Wang Jin blurted.

"......" Yuan Heng paused. In the end, he couldn’t bear to let his ger go hungry and turned toward the kitchen.

But before leaving, he cast one last glance at the ger. Normally, the ger would follow him into the kitchen like a little shadow—yet today, he showed no intention of moving. Instead, as soon as Yuan Heng left, the ger turned his back and pulled something from his robes, studying it intently…

The ger was hiding something.

"......" Yuan Heng watched silently before turning away, unaware how desolate his expression and posture appeared.

After dinner, remembering the ger’s secret, Yuan Heng didn’t initiate closeness. Wang Jin, preoccupied with his own thoughts, didn’t notice Yuan Heng’s unusual distance.

It was their first night without intimacy.

The next morning, a visitor arrived at Wang Jin’s home.

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 67

Chapter 67

Wang Jin curled his fingers, tightening his grip on the newly acquired belt hook he had prepared to give to the man, and hid it in his sleeve.

The next day, when the man went out hunting, A-Mu came to find Wang Jin with a small blanket. The blanket had been stitched into two layers, the inner layer thin and lightweight, the outer layer thickened, stuffed with down feathers in between.

Wang Jin gave Mu ger a puzzled look. Mu ger said, "A-Jin, you gave me so many down feathers. After making a quilt and clothes, I still had some left, so I stitched this small blanket for you. It’s quite warm."

Wang Jin frowned and refused, "I already said it was for A-Mu to keep warm. You should use it. The child in your belly shouldn’t get cold."

As he spoke, he took the blanket and draped it over Mu ger’s abdomen, which was slightly rounded but not yet obvious.

Mu ger lowered his head, gently stroking his belly with tender eyes. "He’s warm enough. This blanket should be for you, A-Jin. You’re also very sensitive to the cold."

With that, he picked up the blanket and tried to hand it back to Wang Jin.

Back and forth, the down feathers inside the blanket shifted around, clumping together in one spot, making the warmth distribution extremely uneven.

Wang Jin frowned, glancing at the blanket and then at the clothes Mu ger was wearing today.

Mu ger’s outfit today was also padded with down feathers, making the whole garment thicker. However... just like the blanket, the feathers had gathered at the hem due to movement, greatly reducing its insulating effect.

Wang Jin pressed his lips together, spread the blanket on the table, then hurried inside to fetch a sewing basket. From the basket, he pulled out a colored stone and used it to draw a grid pattern on the blanket.

"A-Mu, spread the down feathers evenly inside, then stitch along these lines to secure them. That way, they won’t keep shifting around."

Mu ger looked at it in surprise. "So that’s how it’s done! I was struggling with them always sinking to the bottom!"

Once he understood, Mu ger didn’t need further explanation. He quickly stitched the blanket and even took off his outer garment to sew it as well...

His hands moved so fast that Wang Jin couldn’t help but cheer him on. When it came to manual skills, Mu ger was undoubtedly one of the best.

"A-Jin, you mentioned before that you wanted to find something to divert the attention of the gers in the tribe. Is this what you meant?"

Wang Jin’s face showed a hint of confusion.

Seeing this, Mu ger sighed and reminded him, "That time when Yue ger deliberately provoked you and made you lose your temper. These days, the gers who were at leader's place have been praising Yu ger and Yue ger while slandering you. Though some have spoken up for you, they’re few. Everyone in the tribe is saying..."

Mu ger paused, as if unwilling to continue, then skipped ahead. "Anyway, have you thought of any ideas?"

"What are they saying?" Wang Jin was curious about the words Mu ger had omitted.

After all, those gers had spent time with him before, weaving cloth and making rouge together. He had even thought they were quite endearing. What were they saying about him now?

Mu ger rubbed his lips together a few times before carefully replying, "The rest isn’t worth knowing, but the most widespread rumor right now is... that A-Jin’s lunatic illness might have flared up again."

"..." So, in their eyes, that kind of behavior was equivalent to lunacy?

Sensing Wang Jin’s silence, Mu ger seemed afraid he would take it to heart and quickly added, "A-Jin’s health is fine. There’s no relapse. Don’t worry. Even if, by some remote chance, it did happen, I, Brother Heng, and A-Yuan will always stand by you."

Mu ger’s anxious reassurances made it seem like he truly feared this would leave a mark on Wang Jin’s heart. Wang Jin softened his gaze, giving Mu ger a sweet smile and nodding. "I know."

He knew these people would always be by his side.

Mu ger studied Wang Jin closely, confirming there was no trace of gloom on his face, before easing his own worry. Slowly, he said, "Then... right now..."

"Right now, A-Mu, first tell me who spoke up for me?" Wang Jin took over the conversation.

Mu ger froze, thought for a moment, then answered, "Hua ger’s younger brother Qing ger, Yu ger who lives near the leader, Xiao Ruo’s older brother Mian ger and younger brother Wan ger, and also Zhen ger and Jia ger, who used to follow Yu ger."

Out of all the gers in the tribe, only these few had defended him... That really was few.

Mentioning Zhen ger and Jia ger, Mu ger’s expression turned odd. After a moment of consideration, he added, "Zhen ger and Jia ger probably acted on Yu ger’s instructions."

Wang Jin waved his hand, indicating he understood.

Zhen ger and Jia ger were orphaned gers in the tribe, their parents and brothers had all died in hunts. Originally, they were supposed to be matched with beastmen after coming of age, but having grown up following Yu ger, they had grown accustomed to the good food and clothes under his care. They looked down on ordinary beastmen, which was why they remained unmarried until now.

Mu ger said, "Though those two are as domineering as Yu ger to outsiders, they’re quite loyal to him. They’ll do whatever he says."

Wang Jin nodded, thinking to himself, After raising them for so many years, of course they’d obey him.

Mu ger continued, "But Yu ger is also quite strange. Before, he kept saying..."

He paused, then said, "...those things about you, yet now he’s gone to such lengths."

Unable to openly defend Wang Jin himself, he had others do it, almost as if he were protecting Wang Jin like a friend.

Who would have thought? This was the same person who had once clashed with Wang Jin, insulted him, and even tried to steal Yuan Heng away from him.

Even now, the memory of Yu ger’s aggressive behavior toward Wang Jin and his coquettish, affected manner around Yuan Heng still occasionally flashed through Mu ger’s mind.

But now, not only had Yu ger’s appearance changed, his personality had too. The difference was so stark that Mu ger sometimes wondered if they were even the same person.

He often couldn’t reconcile the two versions of Yu ger, which was why, when he first saw the slimmer Yu ger, he couldn’t bring himself to direct the hostility he once felt toward the aggressive, fierce Yu ger onto him. The same was true afterward, even knowing they were the same person.

Of course, it also helped that Yu ger had never treated Wang Jin or himself that way again.

Hearing this, Wang Jin raised an eyebrow and replied, "Isn’t there an old saying? 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend.'"

Before, Yu ger had seen him as an enemy, so he directed all his malice toward him... But now things were different. His enemy was Yue ger...

Wang Jin bared his teeth like a little beast. "Brother Heng is mine!"

"..." Mu ger’s eyebrow twitched. It was true that Yu ger had a preference for handsome men, but after Yuan Heng’s last warning - convincing him that leaving Wang Jin would cause his face to become disfigured again, Yu ger had lost all interest in Yuan Heng.

The last time Yuan Heng returned, Yu ger had bolted like a rabbit, clearly not trying to cling to Yuan Heng but afraid Yuan Heng might cling to him...

Given that, how had this ger in front of him gotten the idea that Yu ger still had designs on Yuan Heng?

Mu ger pressed his lips together and quickly steered the conversation back. "A-Jin, why do you want to know which gers spoke up for you?"

Wang Jin’s eyes gleamed with cunning. "Of course, to thank them."

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 66

Chapter 66

Wang Jin's heart felt as if it had been suspended mid-air, with no support anywhere, making him uneasy.

Yu ger nodded at him and said cheerfully, "He’s seriously ill, can’t even get out of bed. That’s why I have time to come today—otherwise, I’d be sticking to him, constantly making trouble for him!"

Getting a definite answer, Wang Jin's unease gradually spread from his heart...

Unlike Yu ger's cheerfulness, he sighed with a mournful face, no longer interested in the fishing hooks on the table. He slumped onto the desk and muttered gloomily, "You’re so happy… but have you considered that his illness might be fake?"

"..." Hearing Wang Jin's question, Yu ger stared at him in surprise for a moment before suddenly slamming the table and standing up. "Fake?! He’s even faking illness now?!"

Wang Jin and Mu ger were startled by his violent reaction. Mu ger quickly spoke up, "Don’t panic yet. A-Jin is just speculating, right, A-Jin?"

"Mmm..." Wang Jin responded weakly, saying nothing more.

Though he called it a speculation, Wang Jin was almost certain it was true.

In his past life, when his father’s concubine couldn’t win against his mother, she would pretend to be sick. Every time she did, his father would feel so sorry for her that he’d agree to whatever she wanted...

Now, Yue ger was probably using the same trick, faking illness to win the leader’s sympathy...

Yu ger seemed to realize something, his face falling instantly. "I think it’s very likely he’s faking it. The timing of his illness is just too convenient, right after A-die and Brother found out he’d been giving away large amounts of our family’s fruits and meat out of selfishness. And A-die was furious, about to have a serious talk with Yue ger, but then he suddenly fell ill. Brother felt so bad that he stopped A-die from scolding him..."

Recalling this, Yu ger looked at Mu ger and Wang Jin. "Do you think he’s pretending to be sick just to avoid A-die's lecture?"

"..." Mu ger and Wang Jin remained silent.

Seeing their tacit agreement, Yu ger could no longer smile. His face twisted in distress as he said, "How is Yue ger so scheming?! It’s not like A-die would actually do anything to him, just lecture him a bit. And yet, he’d fake illness just to avoid that! Doesn’t he realize how worried Brother and A-die would be?!"

Yu ger trembled with anger.

Wang Jin lowered his eyes, instinctively sensing that Yue ger’s fake illness wasn’t just about avoiding blame, there had to be more to it.

"Ah!" Yu ger suddenly yelped, straightening up and looking at Wang Jin and Mu ger. "A-Jin, A-Mu, do you think Yue ger might use this fake illness to play the victim and slander me in front of Brother and A-die? I just cleared up the fruit incident, what if I get framed again? Should I fake being sick too?"

Mu ger quickly shook his head. "Don’t you dare copy him! Yue ger’s illness already has your a-die and brother worried sick. If you got ‘sick’ too, wouldn’t that just make them even more anxious and upset?"

Yu ger sighed gloomily. "True. Ever since Yue ger got ‘sick,’ Brother and A-die haven’t smiled at all. If I got ‘ill’ too... they’d definitely be even more worried."

Wang Jin nodded in agreement. "Making your family worry isn’t good. Don’t worry, you don’t need to fake illness. Right now, all the gers in the tribe know how kind you are. Even if Yue ger tries to slander you in front of the leader and your a-die, it might not work."

Yu ger let out a heavy sigh of relief. After a while, he hesitantly asked, "Then what should I do now?"

Wang Jin lowered his gaze, the flickering light in his eyes hidden behind his eyelids, along with all his thoughts, unseen by the other two.

Yue ger’s actions definitely had an ulterior motive.

But as for what exactly he was after, Wang Jin couldn’t be sure yet. After thinking for a while, he could only say, "For now, do nothing. Just watch him."

"Nothing at all?" Yu ger was stunned.

Wang Jin thought for a moment. "If you want, you could take care of him?"

Yu ger shrank back as if he’d heard something unacceptable, every fiber of his being rejecting the idea. "No way! Then I’ll just watch him."

Seeing his reaction, Wang Jin chuckled lightly, amused. "Fine. If anything happens, you can come to me or A-Mu."

"Mm!" Yu ger agreed happily, looking at Wang Jin with gratitude as if he were a savior.

The three chatted casually for a while longer. When Yuan Heng returned, Mu ger and Yu ger left.

Wang Jin, sharp-eyed, noticed the man’s return and was about to happily rush over when he saw the man deliberately glance at where Mu ger had been sitting.

Seemingly satisfied with the seating arrangement, the man’s tense face relaxed slightly, the sharpness in his eyes fading to reveal a trace of tenderness.

Even though he knew there was nothing between Wang Jin and Mu ger...

This man really has small belly, chicken intestines!
[小肚雞腸 (xiǎo dù jī cháng): lit. small belly, chicken intestines; fig. petty, narrow-minded.]

Wang Jin mentally scoffed, but on the surface, he smiled brightly.

He took two steps forward to meet Yuan Heng, only to notice the man holding a basket full of feathers - more than what he’d given Mu ger, and a small bird in his other hand.

"Since you liked them, I got more," Yuan Heng said, seeing Wang Jin’s gaze on the feathers.

Wang Jin’s heart felt as if a crack had opened, letting sunlight pour in, warming him from the inside.

Before he could even ask, the man had already brought him what he wanted.

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 65

Chapter 65

This was what had been spreading through the tribe these days.

Two people who had once been like fire and water suddenly became extremely close, doing many things for each other, almost to the point of going everywhere together.

Last time, this Yu ger had even come to Wang Jin for advice on how to deal with Yue ger, but in the blink of an eye, he and Yue ger had gotten along.

Such a fence-sitter, Mu ger thought it would be best to keep their distance.

Yet, Wang Jin showed not the slightest hint of detachment on his face...

Mu ger looked at the two in confusion.

Yu ger was the first to speak: "How could I possibly be on good terms with him? I’m just following A-Jin’s advice and ‘acting’ with him. He pretends, and I pretend too. After all this pretending, the tribe thinks we’re close, but in reality..."

Yu ger wore a smug expression: "In reality, he’s been fuming with anger!"

As he spoke, Yu ger let go of Wang Jin and boasted to Mu ger: "A-Mu, you have no idea how useful A-Jin’s ideas are. When he cried pitifully, I cried even more pitifully. When he tried to give fruits and meat to everyone, I followed A-Jin’s advice and helped deliver them, making sure to clarify that it wasn’t me causing trouble but rather helping Yue ger express his gratitude!"

Mu ger widened his eyes in surprise. He knew Wang Jin had given Yu ger advice, but last time, when Wang Jin was about to explain, their beastmen had returned, and they had all gone home separately. They hadn’t seen each other for days, and just now, when they met, there hadn’t been time to discuss it...

This was the first Mu ger had heard of Wang Jin teaching Yu ger these tricks.

This "pretending to be wronged" tactic... Wang Jin had used it before, and Mu ger had witnessed the whole thing, knowing how effective it was.

But helping deliver fruits and meat... Who would’ve thought A-Jin could come up with that? After his initial surprise, Mu ger let out a soft laugh.

Previously, Yue ger had explained to the leader and the leader’s a-die that giving meat and fruits to the gers was an apology for Yu ger’s mistakes - though that wasn’t the truth. Still, since those gers benefited and spread word of Yue ger’s kindness while painting Yu ger as unruly, the leader and his a-die had believed it.
[阿爹 (ā diē): ger father]

But now that Yu ger was helping Yue ger deliver gifts, his reputation gradually improved, and Yue ger could no longer use Yu ger’s mistakes as an excuse.

The leader and his a-die would realize that those fruits and meats were Yue ger’s doing. And because Yu ger always emphasized that they were Yue ger’s gifts of gratitude, the tribe would spread the same story. Once their families found out, they’d naturally suspect that Yue ger was trying to buy people’s favor...

The leader, who doted on Yue ger, might not react, but if the leader’s a-die found out, he’d surely resent Yue ger for squandering their resources.

Yu ger said cheerfully: "You should’ve seen Yue ger’s face these past few days, it was priceless!"

Mu ger and Wang Jin exchanged glances, both seeing understanding in each other’s eyes.

They hadn’t witnessed it, but they could imagine.

Yue ger, trapped in his act of kindness, couldn’t refuse Yu ger’s help or contradict his explanations. He could only watch as his true intentions were exposed before the leader and his a-die.

And if he tried playing the victim to win the leader’s sympathy, Yu ger would mimic him, crying even more pitifully.

With Yu ger having lost so much weight recently, he looked every bit the victim...

The leader’s a-die had always favored him—now, he must despise Yue ger.

No wonder Yue ger’s expression had been so awful.

"A-Jin, you’re amazing!" Yu ger praised sincerely.

Wang Jin raised his chin slightly, basking in the praise with narrowed eyes, arms crossed smugly.

After a moment of pride, he remembered these tactics were ones his mother had used against his father’s concubines...

His mood instantly soured.

"I brought you something nice!" Yu ger said excitedly, lifting the bundle he had carried in from the chair.

When he untied it, the contents spilled across the table - various bone and stone ornaments.

Necklaces, earrings, hairpieces... Though most were crudely made, the colors were well-matched, and some were quite pretty.

Unfortunately, Wang Jin wasn’t fond of accessories. After a brief glance, he lost interest. Mu ger, however, was practically sparkling.

"Wow, this one’s beautiful." Mu ger picked up a necklace.

Yu ger roughly divided the items into two piles, pushing one toward Mu ger and the other toward Wang Jin. "These are my favorite ornaments. I’m giving them to you."

"!" Mu ger stared at Yu ger in shock, this was the first time he’d seen Yu ger be so generous.

Wang Jin was also surprised.

Yu ger scratched his head sheepishly. "You helped me. It’s only right."

Mu ger looked at the items on the table, then at the one in his hand, and pushed his share toward Wang Jin. "I’ll just take this one. A-Jin was the one who came up with the plan, I didn’t do much. Keeping this is enough to share in your good fortune."

Wang Jin noticed Mu ger had chosen a tooth-shaped ornament. He was about to push everything back in refusal when his sharp eyes caught something.

It was an elongated stone with dark patterns, one end curved like a hook, the other flat - perfect for a belt fastener.

Men often loosened their belts while working, so this hook would be practical.

An actual jade clasp would’ve been better for securing belts, but this tribe barely had any jade, let alone jade clasps...

Wang Jin picked up the hook and said to Yu ger, "Like A-Mu, I’ll just take one. You can keep the rest. Thanks."

"Ah..." Yu ger looked stunned. "You’re only taking one each? It’s fine, really, take as much as you want! Don’t hold back for my sake."

He put on a magnanimous front, though his eyes kept darting longingly to the ornaments even as he pushed them forward.

Mu ger burst out laughing, suddenly finding Yu ger quite endearing.

He gathered the items and repacked them. "Take them back. If A-Jin says he only wants one, then that’s all he likes. As for me, I’m just here for the good vibes, one’s enough..."

"Oh..." Yu ger’s eyes lit up with joy, as if he’d just gotten his treasures back. His grin was both smug and bright.

Mu ger, infected by his mood, chuckled too, though he couldn’t resist adding, "Don’t celebrate too soon. Yue ger’s good at spreading rumors. Be careful he doesn’t smear you again."

Yu ger waved a hand dismissively. "No worries, no worries. He’s sick, where’d he get the energy to badmouth me now?"

"He’s sick?" Wang Jin’s fingers twitched around the hook as he turned to Yu ger.

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 64

Chapter 64

"..." The little ger's lively eyes held a hint of teasing, his soft lips glistening from the kiss, looking especially tempting.

Yuan Heng's gaze darkened, just as the other spoke: "Come on, Brother Heng, A-Mu is a ger, and he's pregnant, what exactly are you thinking?"

As the ger spoke, he seemed to find the situation incredibly amusing, laughing so hard his whole body trembled in the man's arms, shaking so much it made the man's heart race wildly.

The man lowered his eyes to stare at him, his dark gaze filled with possessiveness. Unfortunately, Wang Jin had his face buried in Yuan Heng's chest and didn't see it.

Laughing freely, he suddenly heard the man's low, husky voice: "Some gers also like other gers."

"..." Wang Jin paused at these words, then laughed even more recklessly. After a while, he finally lifted his head, his bright eyes fixed on Yuan Heng as he said, "Then I could also say some beastmen like other beastmen! Brother Heng, you go hunting with Lai Yuan every day, I say there's something fishy between you two!"

As if finding his own words hilarious, the ger couldn't help but curve his lips into an extremely radiant smile.

His smiling eyes reflected Yuan Heng's figure, as if the ger's world contained only him.

Yuan Heng's gaze darkened imperceptibly. Without a sound, he set the dish he was holding aside and wrapped his arms around the little ger.

Wang Jin froze. The man's broad hands clamped around him like iron shackles. He looked up at the man, those usually gentle, light-colored eyes now held a feral intensity, the kind that only appeared in certain... moments.

That gaze felt almost tangible, sweeping over every inch of his body, sending tremors through him.

The little ger before him, flushed from their earlier teasing, had a rosy hue spreading all the way to the corners of his eyes, making him look as if he'd already been thoroughly ravished.

Yuan Heng's eyes darkened further, his fingers tightening. Unable to hold back any longer, he lowered his head to kiss the ger...

After the storm of passion, Wang Jin had melted into a puddle, completely devoid of strength.

He could only let Yuan Heng carry him to bathe and feed him...

During this time, Yuan Heng, lacking all restraint, took advantage of the thoroughly pliant Wang Jin several more times, as if only this could dispel the lingering sourness in his heart.

Wang Jin was utterly drained. By the time he regained his senses, it was already the next day.

The next day, the man didn’t go hunting, spending the entire day at home with Wang Jin.

Before long, the two were tangled together again...

After several days of this, Wang Jin’s body ached as if it had been run over by a carriage, covered in bruises and marks of unmistakable intimacy.

The man never brought up the incident from days prior, but his actions made it abundantly clear that he cared very much!

Finally, one morning, when the man pressed down on him again, Wang Jin weakly placed his soft hand on Yuan Heng’s shoulder.

The little ger had no strength to begin with, and now his limp hand resting there didn’t feel like rejection—if anything, it seemed more like coy reluctance.

The man’s eyes darkened dangerously. Beneath his calm exterior, a storm raged. Gently, he took that delicate hand, tilting his face to press closer once more.

Wang Jin turned his head away, hurriedly protesting, "N-no more... Brother Heng."

Yuan Heng didn’t speak, his gaze fixed intently on the little ger.

The ger’s eyes had remained faintly red these past few days, as if he’d been truly overindulged, his voice even a little hoarse. Though the rasp made it even more enticing, Yuan Heng knew he’d gone too far.

He took the ger’s hand, reluctantly pressing a light kiss to it. Watching the ger’s fingers tremble before quickly snatching back, the gloom in his heart finally dissipated.

Under the ger’s flustered gaze, he pulled up the fur blanket to cover him, pretending displeasure. "Dare to get that close to anyone else again?"

"N-no, I won’t!" Wang Jin shook his head frantically. Even if there had been nothing to begin with, he didn’t dare explain now, lest the man’s jealousy flare up again and...

The ger’s head shook vigorously, his whole body curled under the furs, only his eyes peeking out - wet and pitiful. Yuan Heng’s heart softened. Leaning down, he nuzzled his forehead lingeringly before resolutely straightening and walking outside to douse himself with several basins of cold water.

The ger had adored those feathers. Since the previous batch had been gifted to Mu ger, Yuan Heng decided to gather more. If he waited any longer, the birds would migrate, and they’d be hard to find.

With this in mind, he prepared some food for Wang Jin, informed him, and left.

Only after the man was gone did Wang Jin shakily push himself up, clutching his waist.

This time, the man had been too ruthless...

Rubbing his sore back, Wang Jin hobbled step by step to the doorway—just in time to see Mu ger approaching.

The two gers hadn’t met in days, and now both flushed with awkwardness.

Mu ger’s sharp eyes immediately caught the dense marks on Wang Jin’s neck, making his own face burn.

Clearing his throat, he stopped several paces away. "A-Jin... My A-Yuan also went out."

A simple statement, but in their current misunderstood context, it sounded loaded.

Both froze. Mu ger quickly stammered, "I mean, A-Yuan left with Brother Heng. Before they left, I told them I’d come here. They know."

"...Mm." The explanation only made it weirder. Wang Jin could only hum in response, his face growing hotter.

Their beastmen’s baseless jealousy had left both gers deeply embarrassed.

Fortunately, Wang Jin wasn’t one to stay flustered for long. After a moment, he brought out the fruits and honey his man had prepared and moved to his usual spot in the yard. Mu ger followed, sitting down - though with a deliberate gap between them this time.

Wang Jin noticed but said nothing.

"A-Jin! A-Mu! You’re both here!" Suddenly, a voice called from outside the courtyard. They looked over to see Yu-ger rushing in, arms piled with items.

He dumped them on a nearby seat and plopped himself between Mu-ger and Wang Jin, slinging an arm over each.

Wang Jin silently shifted away. Mu-ger tried to wriggle free but gave up and let him be.

Frowning, Mu-ger said, "Yu-ger, what brings you here today? I heard you and Yue ger have gotten inseparable, always cuddled up at home."

His tone carried unmistakably wariness.

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 63

Chapter 63

"What are you doing?!" Lai Yuan said, stepping forward to pull Mu ger over and wrapping an arm around him, his expression fierce.

Wang Jin froze, his gaze shifting from Yuan Heng’s face to Lai Yuan. The words "Brother Heng" that were about to leave his lips slid back down his throat, sinking into his stomach. The welcoming smile on his face stiffened into stunned silence.

In his memory, Lai Yuan was always soft-spoken and meek, when had he ever been so fierce?

Mu ger was also stunned, but he quickly regained his composure. He tugged at Lai Yuan’s sleeve briskly, and Lai Yuan lowered his head to look at him.

Some unspoken exchange passed between their eyes. Lai Yuan’s expression darkened, while Mu ger offered Wang Jin an apologetic smile before pulling Lai Yuan away with visible displeasure, bidding Yuan Heng farewell.

Yuan Heng responded with an indifferent hum, carrying a piece of tender meat into the courtyard. Watching the two hurry off, Wang Jin suddenly seemed to remember something and rushed after them, calling out to the departing figures.

"A-Mu! A-Mu!"

Yuan Heng’s footsteps halted abruptly. His body stiffened, his fingers curling and tightening silently.

When Wang Jin failed to call Mu ger back, he turned around and tugged at Yuan Heng’s sleeve. "Brother Heng, I couldn’t get Lai Yuan and A-Mu to stay. Can you help me deliver that basket of down feathers in the courtyard to A-Mu later?"

"..." Yuan Heng glanced down at the basket of down feathers.

These were the fine feathers Wang Jin had asked him for earlier - fluff plucked from the skin of small birds. Though hunting birds wasn’t difficult, collecting the down had still taken Yuan Heng some effort. He didn’t know what use the little ger had for them, but every time he received the feathers, he would be overjoyed, exclaiming that they were precious and stroking them several times a day…

And now, this little ger was giving away all the down he treasured so much to Mu ger…

"You’re really good to Mu ger," Yuan Heng said stiffly, his pale eyes darkening as if tainted by some shadowy emotion, concealing depths of darkness no one else could fathom.

Wang Jin paused. The man had uttered those inexplicable words with stiff lips, his face unusually pale and grim…

Since the Ju ger’s family had been driven away, Wang Jin hadn’t seen the man wear such an unpleasant expression.

Wang Jin keenly sensed the man’s displeasure, but no matter how hard he thought, he couldn’t figure out why the man was upset…

Had something happened during the hunt?

Lowering his gaze in thought, Wang Jin clasped his hands behind his back and sauntered over to the man. Stopping just a step away, he tilted his head and lightly rested it against the man’s shoulder, rubbing against him in a coaxing manner.

"Brother Heng~"

His voice was soft, carrying a sticky sweetness he himself hadn’t noticed. The man’s heart skipped, his clenched fingers loosening imperceptibly, fingertips trembling slightly in the air.

The ger leaned against his shoulder, nuzzling like a cat seeking forgiveness after misbehaving. The man’s heart trembled along with his fingertips, the dark clouds in his chest scattering as sunlight sprinkled into his heart.

The ger kept squirming without restraint, to the point where he might topple over if he wasn’t careful. If he fell and got hurt, the little ger would surely pout in grievance.

The man’s lips curved slightly as he raised a hand to steady him, but then the ger spoke in a muffled voice: "What’s wrong?"

"..." The man’s hand froze mid-air.

He looked down at the ger, whose eyes were clear like a newborn fawn’s, gazing at him as if observing a strange new world, full of curiosity.

So, this little ger’s affectionate behavior wasn’t because he realized his earlier mistake…

"Brother Heng, did someone bully you? Tell me, and I’ll help you think of a way to teach them a lesson!"

The ger rolled up his sleeves, ready to stand up for him. Normally, the man would have been delighted by such protectiveness, but now… it only confirmed his suspicion.

This ger had no idea what he’d done wrong earlier!

"What’s wrong, Brother Heng~?" The sweet, sticky voice could melt half the man’s body, but the words only made Yuan Heng grit his teeth in frustration.

"Figure it out yourself!" He pushed Wang Jin away, his tone irritated, before grabbing the tender meat and heading to the kitchen.

Wang Jin blinked in surprise. Normally, the man would have pulled him close for a kiss by now—yet today, he’d coldly pushed him away!

This was far from normal.

Wang Jin hurried after Yuan Heng, but the man seemed determined to ignore him, focusing solely on his tasks no matter how much Wang Jin clung to him.

After a while, Wang Jin sat on a small stool in the kitchen, propping his chin in his hands as he watched the man work, gradually sinking into deep thought.

What is he so upset about?

Even if something during the hunt had angered him, the man wasn’t the type to take it out on others, he’d never treated Wang Jin like this before…

Unable to find an answer, Wang Jin’s gaze gradually grew entranced as he studied the man.

The man was becoming even more handsome, his face so perfect it seemed carved by the heavens, his features more striking than anyone else’s. His eyes were sharp and commanding, and below his straight nose, his pale lips were pressed into a cold line, like jade.

But Wang Jin knew those lips were nothing like their appearance, they were scorching hot and incredibly soft.

Kissed long enough, they would swell just like his own, turning a deep, enticing red…

At this thought, Wang Jin licked his lips, feeling a sudden longing. Normally, the two of them were shamelessly clingy, sticking together whenever alone, kissing all the time. But today, they hadn’t kissed once, even after the man returned, he’d ignored Wang Jin’s attempts to get close.

Why is he suddenly so distant?!

Frowning in frustration, a sudden image flashed through Wang Jin’s mind.

Something similar to kissing, but not quite, and the target wasn’t the man… but Mu ger… Realization dawned on Wang Jin…

"Little ger, come eat," the man called out, carrying dishes to Wang Jin.

Even while angry, the man couldn’t bear to let Wang Jin go hungry and had prepared his favorite dishes.

Wang Jin looked up at him, then suddenly leaped up, wrapping his arms around Yuan Heng’s neck and practically hanging off him.

Yuan Heng instinctively moved the dishes aside to avoid spilling them, giving Wang Jin a disapproving look. "You little—"

Before he could finish, the ger’s lips pressed against his.

Yuan Heng’s eyes widened slightly, his fingers tightening around the plates.

When the kiss ended, Wang Jin gazed at him with damp eyes. "Brother Heng, you’re jealous again!"

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Wang Jin was taken aback. The excitement in Yu-ger's eyes was unmistakable. He narrowed his eyes, pondering for a long moment before speaking slowly, "He... has entered your family. Shouldn’t he now be your..."

The term "sister-in-law" obviously didn’t fit. Wang Jin paused, then said, "brother's ger?"

He had confronted Yu-ger’s "brother's ger," yet this person was thrilled about it?

In such a short time, the tension between Yu-ger and Yue-ger seemed to have escalated.

"He’s not my brother's ger!" Yu-ger pouted unhappily.

Mu-ger interjected, "But he and the leader have already married. The entire tribe attended the wedding banquet, you were there too."

Yu-ger looked on the verge of tears. "If I’d known earlier, I would never have let him into our home! He’s too domineering, too terrifying!"

Mu-ger chuckled. "Is it really appropriate for you to say this to us?"

After all, this person had once been at odds with them.

Yu-ger straightened his back. "Appropriate? Of course it is! There’s no one more appropriate to talk to than you two. Starting today, I’m following you two. As long as you help me teach Yue-ger a lesson, you’ll be my friends!"

"Friends?" Wang Jin blinked, his long lashes casting delicate shadows under his eyes, making his expression seem inscrutable.

The ger before him spoke softly, his voice like the faint chirping of a small animal. Those two lightly uttered words carried no intimidation, yet they made Yu-ger’s heart waver. Unbidden, memories of how he had once wronged this person surfaced in his mind.

Even though he had already apologized, Yu-ger’s heart pounded nervously.

As the leader’s younger brother, his words carried weight in the tribe. Many people wanted to befriend him, and he had been confident that Jin-ger wouldn’t refuse his overtures of friendship.

But now, with just two softly spoken words, he hesitated. His certainty wavered.

Somehow, he sensed that this person wouldn’t agree to be his friend.

He wanted to say something to change Wang Jin’s mind, but his words came out stuttered and disjointed.

"You... being my friend... has... has many benefits. I... I’m the leader’s brother. If my brother has any news... or extra food... I can..."

By the end, his voice had dwindled to a whisper.

Yu-ger had always been domineering, speaking with bold confidence. It was rare for him to lower his voice like this.

Seeing this, the distance in Wang Jin’s eyes lessened slightly, replaced by a hint of gentleness. "We can be friends. But if you’re expecting me to fight your battles for you, you’ve come to the wrong person."

Not only could he not interfere in Yu-ger’s family matters, but dealing with Yue-ger - a master manipulator, gave him a headache every time. He had no desire to invite that kind of trouble.

Yu-ger’s expression twisted into a mix of joy at not being outright rejected and sorrow at Wang Jin’s bluntness.

He muttered dejectedly, "But... friends are supposed to help each other. If you help me this once, I’ll listen to whatever you say."

He seemed genuinely miserable under Yue-ger’s oppression, his face fell, tears welling in his eyes as if he were about to burst into loud sobs.

"I’m really suffering! Not enough to eat, not enough to wear, even the furs at night are thinner now. But worst of all, he frames me every day. He gives away huge amounts of fruit and meat, then claims I ate it all or that I caused trouble outside and he’s compensating for it. I didn’t do anything, yet he pins everything on me!"

Earlier, Yu-ger had ranted endlessly about Yue-ger stealing his food and skimping on his necessities. But this framing was new information.

Mu-ger and Wang Jin exchanged glances. They had wondered why the leader’s family allowed Yue-ger to give away so much food.

They had assumed it was because the leader doted on Yue-ger. Now it seemed Yue-ger had fabricated excuses.

Mu-ger asked, "Didn’t you... tell your brother and father?"

"I did!" Yu-ger gritted his teeth. "I’ve been telling them! But that guy is an expert at acting. A few fake tears, a sob about how ‘unfair’ things are, and my brother and father side with him. Then they scold me instead! They say I eat too much or bully others outside. Even if I had ten mouths, I couldn’t argue against his crying!"

"..." Given Yu-ger’s past behavior, the accusations of overeating and bullying weren’t entirely unfounded. No wonder no one believed him.

Yu-ger sniffled. "I don’t know what to do. He struts around in front of me, even ordering Zhen-ger and the others around, and they were my friends!"

"..." Friends? Those two had always seemed more like lackeys, fawning over Yu-ger before.

Wang Jin lowered his eyes in thought. "So what you want now is to clear your name with your brother and father?"

Yu-ger nodded vigorously. "Not just that, I want Yue-ger to know I’m not someone he can push around!"

Wang Jin pondered for a moment, a sly glint flashing in his lively eyes.

"I have an idea." Wang Jin smirked, leaning close to whisper into Yu-ger’s ear.

Yu-ger’s face immediately brightened, all gloom and grievance vanishing as fiery determination took its place.

"That’s perfect!" He rubbed his hands together, itching to get started.

"Don’t be too obvious," Wang Jin reminded him.

Yu-ger quickly reined in his excitement, scratching his head sheepishly. "Got it. I’ll keep it under wraps. Let’s see how he tries to frame me then."

Wang Jin nodded, his own delight barely contained. "If this plan doesn’t work, come find me again."

"Mm! Okay!" Yu-ger beamed with gratitude. "Thank you, Jin-ger! I’ll head back now."

"Mm." Wang Jin watched as Yu-ger left.

Mu-ger tugged at his sleeve. "A-Jin, didn’t you say you wouldn’t get involved?"

Wang Jin turned back with a grin. "I didn’t."

"?"

"Giving advice isn’t getting involved." Wang Jin winked, his cunning gaze resembling a sly fox’s. "With Yu-ger keeping Yue-ger busy, we’ll have some peace for a while."

Mu-ger stared blankly for a second before realization dawned. "A-Jin, you’re just using—"

Wang Jin clapped a hand over Mu-ger’s mouth. "A-Mu, don’t say it like that. I gave him a good plan, this is mutual benefit!"

"What exactly did you tell him?" Mu-ger pulled Wang Jin’s hand away but kept hold of it, curiosity burning in his eyes.

In his haste to silence Mu-ger earlier, Wang Jin had leaned in close, so close their noses nearly touched. With his hand blocking the way, the proximity hadn’t seemed so intimate. But now, with their hands clasped and no barrier between them, their breaths mingled, creating an inexplicable sense of intimacy.

Their unblinking gaze into each other’s eyes, from a distance, could easily be mistaken for a pair of lovers lost in a tender moment—on the verge of a kiss.

Yet neither noticed how compromising their position was, maintaining this closeness as they whispered.

Until—

"A-Mu!" A beastman’s shocked voice cut through the air, startling them.

They turned to see Yuan Heng and Lai Yuan standing at the courtyard gate.

Yuan Heng’s face was ashen, his lips pale. Lai Yuan looked utterly stunned.

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 61

Chapter 61

As soon as they got home, Wang Jin went inside and laboriously dragged out a basket of white down. "A-Mu, I asked Brother Heng to gather this over the past few days. It’s bird down, though I’m not sure exactly what kind. But this down is very warm."

As he spoke, he pushed the down toward Mu-ger. "When Laiyuan arrives later, have him carry it back for you. Then, when you get home, put in some extra effort, make the clothes double-layered. The inner layer should be thinner, and the outer layer thicker. After that, stitch this down inside the clothes. That way, when you wear them, they’ll be warm, and you’ll get through the winter more comfortably. Both you and the baby will feel better."

Mu-ger crouched down and examined the down in the basket, pinching a small tuft between his fingers. The fine texture felt pleasant against his fingertips, and when he rubbed it gently, warmth began to spread.

Mu-ger’s eyes brightened, this was excellent padding! But such down only grew on small birds, and extracting it must have been quite labor-intensive. This whole basket, who knew how many tiny birds had to be caught to gather this much?

Mu-ger smiled. "Alright, I won’t stand on ceremony with you, A-Jin. There’s quite a lot here, enough for several sets of clothes. I’ll keep two for myself and send the rest back to you later."

Wang Jin quickly shook his head. "No, no, this is all for you. Just make a few extra sets for yourself. And you’ll need to stitch a quilt with this too. Otherwise, the winter nights will be too cold, and your belly will freeze."

Mu-ger froze, then looked up at Wang Jin. "All… for me? Then what about you, A-Jin?"

This person was extremely sensitive to the cold too, he’d already been wearing multiple layers of clothing these past few days.

Wang Jin scratched his head. "Brother Heng is out gathering more today. Once he brings it back, I’ll teach the method to the other gers in the tribe. Once they’ve learned, Hua-ger’s family can help me with the stitching. You’re pregnant now, you shouldn’t overexert yourself. Don’t worry about me. Just use this for now. Once Brother Heng finds more fur, it’ll be even warmer."

"……" Mu-ger’s heart warmed. How could Yue-ger and others fail to see this kindness in him?

Mu-ger opened his mouth to speak, but just then, someone approached from outside the courtyard.

"Jin-ger, Mu-ger."

The two turned and saw a charming ger standing at the gate.

They exchanged glances, both seeing confusion in each other’s eyes, they were certain they didn’t know this ger.

"May I ask who you are?" Mu-ger stood up and asked.

The person tilted his head in puzzlement. "You… don’t recognize me?"

The two looked blank. The ger grew impatient. "It’s me, Yu-ger!"

"!" Their expressions froze as they stared at the ger in shock.

This ger had almond-shaped eyes and a small mouth, though not stunning, he was quite delicate and pretty. They still remembered Yu-ger as a lump of fat, ugly and repulsive, his face at least twice the size of the one before them now…

And now this person was claiming to be Yu-ger?!

They stood dumbfounded for a long moment before Wang Jin finally snapped out of it. "You’re really Yu-ger?!"

"Why would I lie?! Who in this tribe would dare impersonate me?" Yu-ger planted his hands on his hips and glared - a domineering gesture he’d always favored. But before, his bloated body made the motion look vulgar and unpleasant.

Now that he’d slimmed down, his once-narrowed eyes (due to fat) had become clear almond shapes. When he widened them now, it looked more playful than intimidating.

His face had thinned, accentuating his small mouth—now a vivid red against his delicate features, slightly pouty, primed to act cute.

Mu-ger burst out laughing. This version of Yu-ger could never intimidate anyone, no matter how fierce he tried to be.

"Yu-ger, how did you…" Mu-ger paused, looking him up and down. "How did you lose so much weight so suddenly?"

It wasn’t just his face, his entire body had changed drastically, as if someone had sucked out all the fat beneath his skin.

As soon as Mu-ger finished speaking, Yu-ger’s face twisted in grievance. "It’s all Yue-ger’s fault! In such a short time, I’ve been starved down to nothing but bones!"

"……" Wang Jin’s eye twitched.

"Bones" was an exaggeration, because he was still a little plump, but compared to before, the difference was staggering.

"You have no idea how awful Yue-ger is!" Seeming to have finally found someone to vent to, Yu-ger grabbed their hands and launched into his tirade. "Ever since he married my brother, he’s taken over all the food at home! If he can’t finish it, he gives it away to the other gers in the tribe. If I try to eat a little more, he mocks me for being fat, short, and ugly. He also says no beastman would ever want me! Wuwuwu…"

As he spoke, Yu-ger grew so aggrieved that tears actually welled up.

"I haven’t had a full meal in so long! Even the best fur in my room was stolen by him. My brother and father always take Yue-ger’s side. Sometimes, when it’s clearly his wrongdoing, he pins it on me. I try to explain, but they won’t listen, they don’t believe me! Yue-ger is just too much!"

Yu-ger kept the two of them trapped for hours, ranting nonstop about Yue-ger. Mu-ger had long since invited him to sit in the courtyard and even thoughtfully provided water.

Between sips, Yu-ger continued his endless complaints - petty grievances that made their heads throb. Yet he showed no sign of stopping.

Wang Jin couldn’t take it anymore and cut in. "Hold on."

"?" Yu-ger looked at him, waiting.

Wang Jin’s brow twitched. The ger’s eyes were bright and earnest, even carrying a hint of familiarity - as if he considered them friends now.

Wang Jin’s eyelid kept jumping. Did this guy forget that he’d once tried to drive him out of the tribe? And steal his Brother Heng…?

"Ah! Right." Yu-ger seemed to read something in Wang Jin’s expression and suddenly remembered. He stood up and bowed deeply to Wang Jin.

"I’m sorry, Jin-ger!" he shouted with startling vigor, making Wang Jin flinch.

"Everything before was my fault. I apologize." His face was full of sincerity.

"……" Wang Jin wasn’t sure how to respond. He cleared his throat. "You… you should sit down first."

"Okay." Yu-ger complied shamelessly, then beamed at them.

This guy had even thicker skin than him. Wang Jin pursed his lips and muttered, "So… why are you really here?"

Yu-ger’s sharp ears caught it. He suddenly grabbed Wang Jin’s hand, eyes sparkling. "I saw it earlier."

Wang Jin hissed in pain as his wrist was squeezed. Yu-ger immediately let go, realizing his mistake.

Pulling his hand back, Wang Jin saw red marks already forming. Yu-ger might have slimmed down, but his strength hadn’t diminished at all.

Wang Jin glared. Yu-ger scratched his head sheepishly, wanting to reach out again but not daring to. "Sorry, sorry! I forgot how fragile you are."

"……" Wang Jin gave him an unimpressed look and changed the subject. "What exactly did you see?"

At this, Yu-ger’s eyes lit up. Staring at Wang Jin with admiration, he said, "I saw you standing up to Yue-ger."

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 60 Part 2

Yue ger looked devastated. "A-Jin..."

His voice was barely a whisper, his face pale, the picture of pitiful misery.

The other ger couldn’t stand it. "Jin ger, you’re going too far! Yue ger has been nothing but good to you, how can you be so ungrateful?"

"Yue ger, just ignore him!"

One ger stood up to comfort Yue ger, who took the opportunity to sob quietly, as if heartbroken.

The more Yue ger cried, the more the others berated Wang Jin, nitpicking everything from his posture to his attitude.

At first, Wang Jin endured it, letting their words go in one ear and out the other. But they just wouldn’t stop.

Finally, he’d had enough. He grabbed the bowl of soup and smashed it onto the ground. The shattering porcelain silenced the room, broth splattering everywhere, shards scattering across the floor.

The ger gasped in horror, shrinking back. Even Yue ger stopped crying, staring at him with reddened eyes.

Wang Jin snarled, "Who the hell do you think you are?! I told you, how I live is none of your business! What right do you have to judge me? Think I’ve been too nice lately? Don’t forget, I used to be a lunatic! Keep lecturing me and see what happens!"

His face was terrifyingly fierce, his usual playful eyes now sharp with menace. The gers were suddenly reminded of the deranged madman who would attack anyone who came near, this version of Wang Jin bore an unsettling resemblance.

Had his madness returned?

No one dared to speak.

Wang Jin shot Yue ger one last glare, then called for Mu ger and turned to leave. This time, Yue ger didn’t dare stop him.

But as Mu ger followed, Yue ger called out to him.

"A-Mu, A-Jin only keeps you around to weave for him. He doesn’t really see you as a friend—"

"Yue ger!" Mu ger interrupted, turning to give him a look as if he were an idiot. "Do you really think Brother Heng would adore a ger who can’t do anything? That he’d cherish someone lazy and spoiled?"

Yue ger froze.

Mu ger continued, "If you don’t even understand why Brother Heng loves A-Jin so much, how could you ever hope to win his heart?"

Then, glancing at the cowering gers behind Yue ger, Mu ger raised his voice. "If A-Jin were truly useless, how could there be so many new and practical things in the tribe? All you see now are his flaws, have you already forgotten all the good he’s done?"

It wasn’t just about creating new things. When Wang Jin had taught the tribe’s gers, he had patiently repeated himself over and over, explaining tirelessly. Despite his delicate fingers, which couldn’t handle rough materials, he had still demonstrated techniques personally, often cutting or scraping himself in the process.

He was so afraid of pain, yet he endured it to help others, even hiding his injuries afterward to avoid worrying Yuan Heng.

But they had forgotten all his kindness and consideration.

Mu ger turned away without another glance and hurried to catch up with Wang Jin. When he did, he found Wang Jin already looking back at him.

Mu ger smiled slightly and quickened his pace.

Wang Jin’s mood instantly brightened. Hearing Yue ger’s earlier attempt to drive a wedge between them had made him furious.

How dare that bastard try to meddle with my and A-Mu’s friendship right in front of me?!

He had been about to turn back and tear into Yue ger when Mu ger beat him to it.

Unlike the others, Mu ger had defended him unconditionally.

Wang Jin’s bristling hostility melted away in Mu ger’s presence, his smile softening into something sweet as honey.

Mu ger’s eyes sparkled with amusement as he pretended to shudder. "Stop smiling at me like that, it’s too mushy. If Brother Heng saw it, he’d get jealous again."

Wang Jin wrinkled his nose. "He’s not here! And it’s not mushy!"

"Try smiling like that in a mirror and see for yourself!"

As the two walked away, Yue ger’s face darkened further.

Hidden in the shadows, Yu ger, who had witnessed everything, stared after them with gleaming eyes. After shooting Yue ger a hateful glare, he stealthily trailed after Wang Jin and Mu ger.

On the way back, Mu ger voiced his worries. "A-Jin, as satisfying as that was... will there be consequences?"

Wang Jin waved a hand. "What consequences? It’s not like they can eat us."

"But what if the other ger start shunning us again?"

"They won’t. And even if they do, so what?" Wang Jin laughed. His man had said it didn’t matter, so why should he care?

"Wasn’t life just fine before?" Besides, he’d get to spend more time with his man.

"It was fine, but we’re still part of the same tribe..." Mu ger fretted. Now that the adrenaline had worn off, he was starting to regret their impulsiveness.

Seeing his concern, Wang Jin reassured him, "Really, it’ll be fine. Don’t worry. Only a few gers were in Yue ger’s yard today, most of the tribe wasn’t even there."

Mu ger said, "But those few are the biggest gossips in the tribe."

Wang Jin tilted his head thoughtfully. "Then... we’ll just have to give them something else to talk about. Actually, I wanted to show you something. Come on, let’s go to my place."

The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 60 Part 1

Chapter 60

As soon as Wang Jin spoke these words, Yue ger's face turned extremely ugly. Everyone paused, stopping their work to stare at Wang Jin in unison, their eyes flashing with displeasure.

Wang Jin said without restraint, "You weave cloth to prepare for winter. I already have clothes to wear, why should I weave?"

"Nonsense! The only reason you have clothes is because Mu ger worked himself to death weaving for you!" a ger retorted. "Making a pregnant Mu ger work so hard while you laze around, how could you even do that?!"

"How interesting." Wang Jin glanced at the ger who had spoken. "Admittedly, you're right. The fabric and clothes in my home were indeed woven by A-Mu. But only A-Mu has the right to criticize me for that. What right do you have? Who are you to me? Did I take your woven cloth? Or have I taken anything else from you?"

The ger froze. Wang Jin swept his gaze over the other gers. "Just now, you all accused me of taking things from you in exchange for teaching you how to weave. Well, tell me, what exactly did I take from you? Not to mention, you were the ones begging me to teach you. Even if I had demanded something in return, it wouldn’t have been unreasonable. But the truth is, I never took anything from you, yet you still spread lies!"

These gera had never listened to him properly during the lessons. Wang Jin had disliked them from the start, so when they reluctantly brought gifts along with the others, he had found excuses to refuse them on the spot.

Now, Wang Jin felt that had been absolutely the right decision.

Fortunately, he hadn’t taken anything from them, who knew how they would have twisted it otherwise.

Seeing the gers darken their faces and fall silent, Wang Jin continued, "It's true I don’t do anything at home. But let me ask you, what does that have to do with you? How does me staying home affect you?"

"You're just relying on Brother Heng's favor!" one ger couldn’t help but snap.

Wang Jin laughed. "So what if I am? He's my beastman, of course he pampers me! Brother Heng is happy to let me do nothing. Isn’t it strange? I eat his food, wear his clothes, use his things. I don’t lift a finger at home, I even make him do everything and he has no complaints. So why do you care so much? It’s not like I’m eating your food, wearing your clothes, or living in your homes!"

The gers twitched at the corners of their eyes. This was the first time they had seen someone so unapologetic about being spoiled and useless.

After a long silence, one ger finally managed, "Then... then you’re just newly wed! Brother Heng might dote on you now, but wait until you’ve been together longer. See if he’ll still tolerate you like this! We’re only saying this for your own good, so you won’t be left helpless when he gets tired of you!"

With this, the ger seemed to find a suitable justification for their earlier remarks and quickly chimed in.

"That’s right, Jin ger. We’re only thinking of you."

"If we weren’t from the same tribe, we wouldn’t even bother!"

"Exactly. If you still can’t do anything after years together, it won’t just be us looking down on you, the whole tribe will, including Brother Heng."

As if envisioning that future, their eyes filled with disdain and schadenfreude.

In truth, these gers only dared to say such things to Wang Jin’s face because they resented seeing him idle while they worked tirelessly.

Now, imagining how Wang Jin’s laziness would ruin his future, they felt a sense of balance restored, and their expressions lightened.

Yue ger had stayed silent ever since Wang Jin mentioned Yuan Heng. He hated this lunatic bringing up Brother Heng. Every time he did, that smug, blissful look on his face made it seem like he wanted the whole world to know how good his life was.

But all the happiness he was enjoying now should have been his.

Hidden in his sleeves, Yue ger’s hands clenched so tightly his nails dug into his palms. The pain was the only thing keeping his fake gentle expression intact.

"Alright, let’s not argue. A-Jin is my guest. Everyone, do me a favor and stop this. A-Jin has always been pampered. It’s not like you didn’t know that," Yue ger said.

On the surface, his words still seemed to defend Wang Jin, but every syllable carried an undercurrent of mockery about his privileged upbringing.

Wang Jin laughed. "Yue ger, we’re not close. You don’t need to ‘do me favors.’ Both times I came here, it was at your invitation. I only agreed out of respect for the leader. But every time I come..."

He paused. "...my reputation in the tribe worsens."

"A-Jin!" Yue ger cut him off before he could finish, his voice trembling with hurt. "Are you blaming me for this? But I’ve done nothing wrong. I just wanted to be kind to you."

"Your ‘kindness’ is more than I can handle." Wang Jin clasped his hands behind his back. "After today, I won’t be coming back. Stop wasting your effort trying to befriend me. You and I will never be friends."
