Chapter 104
Tang Yu was about to fall asleep when he heard the voices of two children outside his door.
Tang Yu didn’t want to move, so Jells went to open the door. Outside were Eli and Dino, who had come after hearing the news about his pregnancy. As soon as the door opened, they slipped under Jells’ arm and ran into the yard.
The two of them ran straight and quickly toward the inner room.
“Uncle, uncle!” Eli climbed onto the bed and sat beside Tang Yu, while Dino stood obediently nearby, staring at Tang Yu’s belly.
The term “uncle” was something Tang Yu had taught them. To emphasize the closeness between their families, Tang Yu felt that “uncle” was the most appropriate term.
Tang Yu tilted his head and looked at Eli, then smiled. “You two aren’t clinging to your mother, but came to me instead. Did you hear that I’m pregnant?”
Eli nodded repeatedly, his eyes, like Dino’s, glued to Tang Yu’s belly.
Tang Yu’s belly was still covered by his clothes, and there was no visible bulge yet. Even if Tang Yu lifted his shirt, there would be nothing to see.
Tang Yu was about to say that it was too early to see anything, but when he glanced at the two children, he couldn’t help but feel a little helpless.
The way they were staring at his belly made it seem like there was something delicious hidden there.
Tang Yu lifted his shirt, revealing his flat stomach with no noticeable changes.
Eli let out a disappointed “Huh?” and asked, “Why can’t we see it?”
Tang Yu was amused by Eli’s reaction and patted his belly. “It’ll take some time before it becomes noticeable.”
That said, Tang Yu wasn’t entirely sure himself. Both he and the person he had been before his rebirth were first-time parents. Especially in the orc Continent, where the symptoms and duration of pregnancy varied depending on the partner’s race, it was hard to predict.
The dragon tribe, being such a rare race, made it even harder to know how dragon babies were born.
After lingering for a while, the two children were eventually taken away by Sinoer.
When they returned home, Su Yi had already prepared dinner and was waiting for them. Since it was a rare sunny day, they decided to eat at the stone table in the yard.
Eli naturally climbed into Su Yi’s lap and curiously looked at the two newcomers.
“Mom, who are they?”
Su Yi pointed at the two and introduced them. “This little orc is called Veil, and the older one is called Redra. They’ll be staying with us for a while. You two better not bully them, okay?”
Eli snorted, buried his face in his bowl, took a sip of soup, and then declared confidently, “I’m Eli. Since you’re staying at our house, I’ll protect you like a big brother.”
Dino, who was also drinking soup, choked and spat it out.
“You’re the youngest, aren’t you?” Dino’s face turned red as he pointed at Eli’s small frame.
Eli immediately raised his tail, opened his little mouth, and bared his tiny fangs.
“Hmph, my beast form is a mighty giant snake. My dad is the strongest orc warrior. If I say I’m the boss, then I’m the boss.” In response to Eli’s childish declaration, Su Yi gave him a light smack on the head.
Eli’s bravado instantly deflated.
He looked at Su Yi with teary eyes and complained, “Mother, why did you hit me?”
“Stop yelling during meals. If you’re so powerful, hurry up and transform into your human form. You can’t even do that yet, and you’re still acting all high and mighty.”
Eli let out a small huff, slithered away, and climbed into Sinoer’s lap.
Sinoer patted his little head and helped him scoop some food onto his plate.
Eli nuzzled Sinoer’s hand and then gave Su Yi a triumphant look, as if to say, “You hit me, so I’m ignoring you now.”
Su Yi ignored Eli and focused on eating his meal. After finishing his meal, he walked over to the two newcomers and patiently taught them how to use the bowls and chopsticks.
Eli immediately protested, his tail standing on end as he climbed onto the table and onto Su Yi’s shoulders. Seeing Eli’s reaction, Su Yi quickly pulled him into his arms and soothed him.
Then, Su Yi assigned Eli and Dino an important task: teaching Veil and Redra how to use the things in the house.
However, the task was cut short when Redra’s weak condition worsened. Veil who focused on taking care of Redra, had no interest in Eli’s special toys.
Su Yi was also tired and carried Eli back to rest. Dino, acting like a little adult, began helping Veil take care of Redra. Seeing Dino’s maturity, Su Yi couldn’t help but glance at the little one in his arms. When would his Eli transform into his human form? Dino was already so capable, while Eli still acted like a baby.
The next morning, someone came looking for Su Yi early. They were there to demand an explanation regarding Redra.
Su Yi who wanted to sleep in, was annoyed at being disturbed.
The visitors were the orcs who had gone on the previous trip, including the female who had fallen off the orc’s back.
Su Yi stared at the female for a moment, then asked coldly, “I’ve already heard about the personal grudge between you and the unknown orc.”
The orcs around them didn’t understand Su Yi’s words, but the female’s face changed, as if he had remembered something.
“Here’s what we’ll do. Let’s gather at the square at noon and settle this properly,” Su Yi said, then he gave the female another cold look.
Su Yi didn’t actually know the details of the grudge between the female and Redra. He was just trying to intimidate the female. The expression on the female’s face confirmed that Su Yi’s earlier guess had been correct.
Before noon, Su Yi spoke with Veil. From Veil, Su Yi learned that when Redra first appeared, Veil had been picking fruit for the wandering orcs like everyone else.
