Chapter 101
“Sinoer!!” A familiar voice rang out, causing Sinoer to freeze mid-action. This momentary hesitation allowed Jill, who had been trapped, to break free.
Sinoer’s blood-red eyes stared blankly ahead. He was filled with rage, wanting to destroy everything in front of him. Yet, deep down, a sliver of reason reminded him that this voice was familiar.
Sinoer stood frozen, his body seething with anger, but his mind held back by a thin thread of restraint.
Don’t move, don’t hurt him, don’t…
When Su Yi first saw Sinoer’s condition, his heart ached.
It had only been a day since they last saw each other. How had Sinoer ended up like this?
The Sinoer Su Yi saw now resembled a terrifying boss from a fantasy game, a massive blood-soaked serpent. Covered in blood, surrounded by corpses and a blood-drenched ground, the scene looked like something straight out of hell.
Su Yi’s worst fears had come true. The area had been attacked by a beast horde, and Sinoer’s current state was likely due to Su Yi’s injury, which had caused Sinoer to lose control.
Jill who was flying nearby, stared at Su Yi for a long time before feeling a faint sense of familiarity. He thought this female looked a bit like Su Yi?
Jill was confused. He clearly remembered Su Yi being injured and taken away by Sinoer. But when he went to find Sinoer, Su Yi was nowhere to be seen. He had been puzzled, wondering where Su Yi had gone.
Now, Su Yi had suddenly reappeared, not only healed but also looking different. This left Jill both curious and intrigued.
Seeing Su Yi approach Sinoer, Jill suddenly shouted, “Don’t! Don’t go near him!”
Sinoer was out of control, likely devoid of reason. If Su Yi approached recklessly, he could easily get hurt.
But Su Yi ignored Jill and walked straight toward Sinoer.
Seeing this, Jill panicked. As Sinoer began to move, Jill tried to land and intervene.
But at this moment, something unexpected happened again.
A small spiky dragon had been hiding in the nearby bushes. As Su Yi passed by, it suddenly lunged out.
Su Yi was startled. Sinoer’s emotions were unstable, and any stimulation could set him off. From the way Sinoer looked at him, Su Yi realized Sinoer didn’t recognize him.
Su Yi had been focused entirely on Sinoer, moving cautiously. But the sudden appearance of the spiky dragon threw him off balance.
Fortunately, Jill had been watching Su Yi closely. As the spiky dragon leaped out, Jill swooped down, grabbed it, and dragged it away.
The commotion agitated Sinoer. He became enraged and lunged at Su Yi.
Su Yi hesitated, instinctively moving to dodge, but then he stopped. He didn’t evade.
Instead, he looked at Sinoer and said gently, “Sinoer, I’m back.”
The massive white serpent froze. Its bloodthirsty eyes narrowed, trembling as they focused on the person before him.
Sinoer stopped again. A voice in his mind whispered, Su Yi? Who was Su Yi? Su Yi was the person he loved most…
Memories of Su Yi’s familiar smile flashed in his mind. But why did his Su Yi look different? If he didn’t look closely, this person didn’t quite resemble the Su Yi he knew.
Su Yi reached out and tapped Sinoer’s large head. From Sinoer’s slightly confused gaze, Su Yi caught a glimpse of his own reflection.
Seeing his own appearance, Su Yi’s eyes widened. He finally understood why Sinoer hadn’t recognized him at first.
But now wasn’t the time to examine his new look. Su Yi quickly wrapped his arms around Sinoer’s massive body. The serpent was too large to fully embrace, so Su Yi simply leaned against him and continued speaking.
“Sinoer, it’s me, Su Yi. How could you not recognize me?!”
Su Yi?
Sinoer’s blood-red eyes slowly returned to their normal color. The crimson hue faded, replaced by the gentle gaze Su Yi loved.
Jill, having dealt with the spiky dragon, watched as Sinoer transformed back into his human form. The once furious Sinoer was gone, replaced by the calm and composed man he had always been.
Seeing Sinoer return to normal, Su Yi breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried Sinoer wouldn’t recognize him. Although he hadn’t shown any fear, deep down, Su Yi had been uncertain when he saw Sinoer out of control.
Now that Sinoer had recovered, Su Yi felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He hugged Sinoer tightly, while Sinoer stared at him in confusion and murmured, “Su Yi?”
Before the two could catch up, low growls echoed around them.
Su Yi grabbed his weapon, ready to attack, but Sinoer pulled him into his embrace.
“It’s okay, don’t be afraid!” Sinoer tossed Su Yi onto his back and transformed into his beast form.
Su Yi clung to Sinoer’s back as they charged toward the beasts.
Looking at the numerous beasts scattered around, Su Yi felt a surge of excitement.
“We’ll have plenty of food for the snow season.”
Sinoer, having just regained his senses, couldn’t help but smile inwardly. Only Su Yi would see a horde of beasts as a food source.
At that moment, Hunter and the other orcs arrived. With their help, the remaining beasts were quickly dealt with.
Soon, they cleared the rocks blocking the cave entrance and freed those trapped inside. Everyone was visibly excited, especially when they heard Su Yi and Hunter had returned.
Tang Yu's face was pale, and he was supported by Rui La. Hearing that Su Yi was back, Tang Yu eagerly tried to run over but was held back by Rui La.
