Chapter 98: So Disappointed
Ming Qian's performance left the fans greatly disappointed, to the extent that the cheers after one performance ended were not very enthusiastic.
Not only were his dance moves out of sync, but aside from the first group song that Ming Qian managed to sing from start to finish, he was completely off-key in every other song. He even sang the wrong lyrics at times. With no live vocal tuning, the result was simply painful to listen to; at points, it was hard to tell if he was singing or just reciting words.
If Ming Qian's lyrics hadn't conveniently been arranged right after Tao Li's, and if Tao Li hadn't immediately followed Ming Qian's awkward, off-key singing with a high-energy, explosive high note that ignited the venue, this perfectly good song would have been ruined by Ming Qian.
Although, to be honest, it was already pretty close to being ruined.
By the halfway point of the concert, the fans of the other members were looking at the Qiansha fans with strange expressions, making the Qiansha fans feel extremely uneasy and restless. Watching Ming Qian's zombie-like dance moves and his singing that was off-key by a mile from the audience, they could hardly resist the urge to throw down their support banners and leave on the spot.
They barely managed to endure until the concert ended. While the fans of the other members clapped and offered congratulations, most of Ming Qian's fans could no longer stay seated. They threw down their light sticks and left, utterly unable to tolerate Ming Qian's terrible performance anymore.
Most of these fans were attending a live show for the first time, filled with high hopes.
They had always heard the major Qiansha fans praising Ming Qian online, seen all kinds of retouched photos of him, and read various fanfictions portraying Ming Qian's character as gentle, righteous, and powerful. But when they finally came to the live show and saw his real performance, the perfect image built by the major fans shattered like a bubble, vanishing into thin air.
Therefore, not long after the concert ended, before the fans who couldn't get tickets could even wait for the recorded videos of the concert, they were met with shocking news—#MingQianFansAbandonFandom#
The first to announce abandoning the fandom was actually a major fan who had previously stayed up late voting for Ming Qian.
The Sound of a Breaking Heart V: First, let me talk about what expectations I had when going to the concert.
First was buying tickets. Everyone should know that the ticket sales for this tour started at midnight. So we waited early by our computers and phones, using both hands, hoping to snag more tickets. The extra tickets could be resold to sisters who didn't manage to get any. By working together, more people could get tickets, and more sisters could go to support him. This is what we could do for him, and we tried our best to do it.
Next was the journey. This tour's location was set in City A. Since this was his debut tour, many fans wanted to support his first major event. They traveled from across the country, overcoming significant obstacles to be there. The concert was in the morning, leaving the afternoon free for a planned fan meet-up. This gathering was a chance for everyone to connect, share a meal, and enjoy each other's company. It was supposed to be a wonderful experience, and every detail had been carefully arranged.
Finally, we needed to buy support items, learn the support slogans together, memorize the live support procedures, assign positions for the camera team and the photography team. We had assigned all roles and rehearsed the plan multiple times. We were terrified that a single misstep would make his live support seem weaker than the other members', or fail to show his best dance moves and most handsome photos to the fans who couldn't attend.
But then? How did he repay us?
Yes, it's true he has no dance foundation, but he can practice! Wasn't it reported just two days ago that he was practicing alone in the dance studio? They said other members were absent, being lazy, and only he was practicing, showing how hardworking he was. But now? I think it wasn't that he was especially diligent, but rather that everyone else had already learned it, and only he hadn't, so he had to keep practicing! What else could he do? Could the others, who had already practiced until they were perfect and could dance with their eyes closed, keep getting up early and staying late every day to practice with a zombie like him? Once or twice is fine, but every day? I don't believe anyone wouldn't get annoyed!
Those who weren't at the concert can't possibly understand our embarrassment. We were so mortified, we wished the ground would swallow us whole. We absolutely refused to believe this was the same person we had once admired so deeply.
We liked him so much, and in return, he performed a zombie dance and sang off-key for us!
If you say he can't sing, then what about his performance during the third stage? It shows he can sing. If he sings poorly now, it's because he didn't take it seriously!
He simply didn't care about us, who worked hard to come see him and support him!
Ah, I don't want to say anymore. That's it. I am officially abandoning the fandom here today. I won't turn against him. See you around someday. I loved him!
Ming Qian, you deserved it๐
