The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 92

Chapter 92

"Do Celestial Fox tribesmen not sleep at night?"

With a creak, the door was suddenly pushed open. A man leaned against the doorframe, his gaze sharp and unfriendly as he stared at Cheng Bai.

Cheng Bai, abruptly interrupted, frowned at the intruder.

The man wore a white inner robe, loosely draped with an outer garment. His long black hair cascaded down his back, and the moonlight cast a faint glow over his tall, straight figure, making him look as radiant and handsome as a celestial being.

This beastman is indeed good-looking… And since he’s an ancient winged tribesman with formidable strength, it’s no wonder the little pampered one fell for him after losing his memory.

It was my negligence before, letting the little pampered one wander alone and giving this winged tribesman an opportunity…

But now that I, his rightful fiancé, am here, there’s no way I’ll let this man continue posing as his beastman.

He retracted the slightly crumbled pastries into his palm, then glanced tenderly at the little pampered one. In the softest voice he had ever used, he murmured, "Sleep well."

"..."

The man bid him goodnight as if it were the most natural thing, then turned and walked to the door. He exchanged a glance with the other man, as though sharing some unspoken signal, and the two stepped outside together…

Wang Jin got out of bed, wanting to follow, but Yuan Heng seemed to anticipate his thoughts. Before leaving, he turned back to look at Wang Jin. Though the man said nothing, Wang Jin felt as if he could hear his silent chiding—Don’t get out of bed, it’s cold outside.

Wang Jin’s toes curled slightly before he slowly retreated back under the covers. Only when Yuan Heng saw him settled did he finally close the door behind him.

---

Cheng Bai sat on a stool in the courtyard, watching the man’s actions with a cold smirk. "You certainly know how to flatter."

His words dripped with sarcasm, completely forgetting that he himself had spent an entire day making pastries to gift to the little pampered one inside.

"..."

Yuan Heng stepped forward in silence, looming over the seated beastman. His icy expression made it seem as though he was facing an enemy.

"Let’s settle this with a duel." Yuan Heng’s lips, pressed tightly together, barely parted as he forced out the words. His entire body radiated a dangerous aura.

The man’s presence was overwhelming, a stark contrast to his earlier gentleness. Now, he resembled a beast baring its fangs and claws to protect what was his—his gaze fierce, carrying the chill of the underworld.

Even Cheng Bai, a Celestial Fox tribesman, was momentarily stunned by the sheer force of his presence…

Cheng Bai’s fingers trembled uncontrollably as he struggled to resist the crushing pressure. He stood up—remaining seated made him feel inferior, as if the weight of the man’s aura was forcing him down. Only by standing could he hold his ground.

"By the beastmen’s rules. The loser steps aside."

It seemed the winged tribesman had overheard his conversation with the little pampered one. Now, he knew exactly what Cheng Bai was thinking.

Perhaps he had always known but hesitated because of the little pampered one’s mistaken belief about their engagement. Those words just now had only confirmed it.

Cheng Bai met Yuan Heng’s gaze squarely, his silver eyes narrowing as he studied the man.

A fight…? No, that’s impossible.

He’s no match for an ancient winged tribesman.

A glint of cunning flashed in Cheng Bai’s silver pupils. He raised his voice deliberately.

"The little pampered one is a ger from Ning’an City. If we’re to settle this, it must be by Ning’an City’s rules."

"What rules?" Yuan Heng’s voice was like shards of ice, piercing Cheng Bai and making him shiver.

"The rules… You’ll know when we reach Ning’an City." Having said that, Cheng Bai didn’t dare linger, afraid his knees might buckle under the man’s oppressive aura.

The presence of an ancient beastman was overwhelmingly dominant.

As Cheng Bai moved past him, stepping out of his direct line of pressure, the weight on his shoulders lessened slightly.

With the pressure eased, another thought struck him. He paused, his back still turned to Yuan Heng.

"Oh, and when we go to Ning’an City, you’d better be prepared. If your proposal fails, you’ll be suspected of abducting a ger."

Cheng Bai let out a light laugh. "Abducting a ger is a crime despised by all beastmen and ger alike. Whether in tribes or cities, it’s unforgivable. At best, you’ll be exiled—left to wander alone, with no tribe or city willing to take you in. At worst… you’ll be forced to take your own life."

"..." Yuan Heng remained silent.

Cheng Bai pressed on. "Of course, once the little pampered one regains his memories, he’ll naturally return to me. If you’re smart and keep your distance during this time, you might still use his amnesia as an excuse to avoid punishment. Think carefully."

The little ger will remember the past… What happened between him and this man in the past?

Why is he so confident that once the memories return, the little ger will choose him?

And his words—every one of them is a warning not to touch the little ger…

Is his true intention to frighten me into keeping my hands off him? He must know that if the little ger and I act on our feelings, it would be easy for things to escalate… So he’s using this to intimidate me…

Yuan Heng contemplated for a long moment before turning away with a cold, mocking look.

"The little ger and I will be wed again."

"..."

The certainty in the man’s voice was absolute, as though it were an inevitability. Cheng Bai’s fingers clenched.

The little pampered one clearly adores this man… Is he so confident because…?

He didn’t dare finish the thought. His heart ached unbearably.

Yuan Heng took a step forward, stopping beside Cheng Bai. His voice, which had been sharp as a blade moments ago, softened unexpectedly.

"Also, during this time, I won’t do anything with the little ger—not because of your so-called ‘punishment,’ but because…"

"The little ger deserves to be treasured."

"..."

The shift in the man’s tone was startling—one moment like a blade, the next like melted warmth.

Just the mention of the little pampered one completely changes him.

Cheng Bai knew the man wasn’t one to lie. If he said this was his reason, then it was true—he was restraining himself out of respect for the little ger, not out of fear.

After all, what would an ancient winged tribesman fear? ‘Forced to take his own life’? What tribe or city would dare demand that of him?

Besides, the circumstances are special—the little pampered one lost his memories and followed him willingly.

Cheng Bai’s earlier threats were just that—empty intimidation. If the man truly wanted to act, no one could stop him.

Yet he was willing to make this promise… because he was worried the little pampered one might face scorn upon returning to Ning’an City.

He must truly… truly love the little pampered one.

Cheng Bai’s chest tightened, the bitterness swelling inside him.

The more outstanding this man is, the more inferior I feel… The harder it is to imagine stealing the little pampered one back.

I’m no match for him in any way. All I can do is treat the little pampered one even better…

Maybe then, he’ll see my sincerity and change his mind. When that happens, I’ll apologize and tell him the truth—that I was his real fiancé all along, that it was my own foolishness that deceived him…

---

Yuan Heng didn’t return to his own room immediately. Instead, he pushed open Wang Jin’s door and stepped inside.

The little ger seemed to have just climbed back into bed, the blankets haphazardly draped over him—some parts bunched up, others left uncovered.

Yuan Heng walked over, carefully adjusting the covers. Unable to resist, he pulled the soft little ger into a tight embrace, as though afraid of losing him—so tight it felt like he wanted to fuse their bodies together.

The force of the hug made Wang Jin wince in discomfort. Just as he was about to speak, he realized the man’s body was trembling slightly, as if gripped by fear…

For a fleeting moment, Wang Jin felt that the man holding him was unbearably fragile.

He quickly wrapped his arms around Yuan Heng in return, whispering, "What’s wrong?"

What did Cheng Bai say to him just now?

I saw them talking outside but couldn’t hear a word…

Beastmen have sharp hearing, so I didn’t dare eavesdrop. Now, I regret not getting closer.

"..."

Yuan Heng rested his head against Wang Jin’s shoulder and shook it slightly, refusing to answer.

Wang Jin didn’t believe for a second that nothing was wrong.

Normally, the man only gets this possessive when he’s jealous… But this time, he’s holding me so roughly, like he’s… afraid.

Wang Jin lowered his gaze, thinking for a moment before gently patting Yuan Heng’s back. He steadied his voice and spoke with quiet determination.

"Brother Heng…" His fingers trembled slightly. "Believe in me."

Yuan Heng stiffened, his light amber eyes flickering with surprise before softening into warmth…

He turned his head, pressing a kiss to Wang Jin’s neck, nuzzling against the skin as though he couldn’t get enough—leaving the spot damp with affection.

Wang Jin’s face burned, his body melting under the attention, pliant as water in the man’s arms.

But just as Wang Jin was lost in the moment, the man suddenly pulled away, pressing a chaste kiss to his forehead before straightening his disheveled clothes.

"..."

The flush on Wang Jin’s face drained instantly.

This man… Why must he be so proper?!

Wang Jin glared at him in frustration. Yuan Heng, sensing his displeasure, pecked his lips and said, "Of course I believe in my little ger. Cheng Bai is just being unreasonable."

Wang Jin’s eyes flickered. "What did Cheng Bai say to you?"

What could have shaken him like this?

"Didn’t I tell you before that I like you?"

"Of course, once the little pampered one remembers everything, he’ll naturally return to me."

Yuan Heng’s mind echoed Wang Jin’s past words and Cheng Bai’s taunts. A bitter ache spread through his chest as he stared at Wang Jin in silence.

Will the little ger really remember everything one day… and leave me behind?
