The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 75 Part 2

Wang Jin’s expression shifted slightly as he tentatively asked, “You… know me?”

“……” The man’s fox-like eyes narrowed slightly, scrutinizing Wang Jin until he began to feel uneasy.

After all, the original owner was already…

Swallowing hard, Wang Jin confessed, “I don’t remember. I was rescued by the Danmu tribe—everything before that is a blank.”

Though pale, the ger’s delicate features seemed like a gift from the heavens, beautiful enough to leave a lasting impression no matter the circumstances.

Such looks were rare—this was undoubtedly the ger he’d been searching for.

Yet… his face was completely blank, especially when looking at him. That unfamiliar gaze truly seemed like he was meeting him for the first time…

But before, hadn’t this person been…

“You don’t remember?” The man didn’t answer immediately, staring fixedly at Wang Jin.

When the delicate little thing softly admitted his lack of memory, his eyelids lowered slightly, long lashes casting shadows over his eyes. His pale lips parted slightly, trembling faintly in the air…

As if the words he’d just spoken were something difficult to voice, or perhaps a hidden pain.

The man’s heart stirred faintly, half-convinced as he probed, “Then… do you at least remember being engaged?”

“!” Engaged?!

Wang Jin’s eyes widened in shock as he shook his head vehemently, as though denying it could make it untrue.

The man blinked.

For a moment, he thought he’d seen a flicker of panic on that delicate little face…

Does he truly not remember his own engagement?

The man lowered his gaze, pondering for a moment before raising his head and tentatively calling out, "Little brother-in-law..."

"!" Wang Jin was so startled that his body jerked, aggravating his wound. His face twisted in pain as he glared at the man and hissed through clenched teeth, "Don't call me that."

If Brother Heng heard this, it would be disastrous.

If the original owner really had a fiance…

Wouldn’t I have to deal with this mess too?

The delicate ger glared at him, his bright eyes full of life. Maybe from the pain, his eyes had grown watery, shining with unshed tears. His glare held no threat—it looked more like a petulant pout.

Though he had clearly meant to snarl like a beast to scare him, his soft voice ruined the effect, making him sound like a whining little animal instead…

The man’s heart stirred slightly.

In the past, when this person deliberately acted spoiled toward him, he had found it cloying and disgusting. But today, this bristling, clawing demeanor struck just the right chord, sending a pleasant tingle through his chest.

In high spirits, the man couldn’t resist teasing, "I’m not wrong, though. You are my little brother-in-law, my elder brother’s little fulang."

His voice gradually trailed off…

After speaking, he lowered his head slightly, rubbing his nose, an inexplicable sense of guilt rising in his heart.

Because the ger wasn’t his elder brother’s little fulang at all—he was his own little fulang.

This marriage had been arranged between the ger’s elder brother and his own elder brother.

When the ger learned of the engagement, he had somehow misunderstood, thinking that his elder brother intended to marry him off to his elder brother.

The ger had clung to him, unwilling to marry his elder brother, yet too timid and cowardly to refuse the marriage outright, so he had come to him for help.

And he, not wanting to marry the ger either, had—upon realizing the misunderstanding—worried that if the ger found out he was actually betrothed to him, he would stop trying to reject the marriage. So, he had never clarified the truth. Instead, he had used the excuse that the ger was his "brother-in-law" to keep him at a distance, all while secretly trying to push him toward his elder brother.

Who would have thought that before the matchmaking could succeed, the ger would mysteriously disappear…

And then, under the guise of being his fiance, he had spent months searching the world for him.

And the person he found… had lost all his memories.

Did that mean… there was still a chance to call off their marriage?!

A glimmer of hope flashed in the man’s eyes—until the ger’s voice cut in: "Is your elder brother nearby?"

The man snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head. "No."

Wang Jin frowned. "If I’m your elder brother’s…" He paused, coughing lightly before continuing, "Your elder brother’s fiance… then why are you here instead of him? You rescued me, you came looking for me."

In this beastman world, wasn’t one’s own ger supposed to be taken care of by one’s own beastman?!

"..." The man was momentarily stunned by the question, his eyelid twitching.

How had this ger become smarter after losing his memory…?

He evaded vaguely, "Elder brother is searching for you far away. You’ve been missing for so long, your own elder brother was frantic and sent every beastman in the city out to look for you."

"My elder brother?" Wang Jin’s brow furrowed.

The original owner has an elder brother too…?

The man froze, staring at Wang Jin.

The ger’s dark pupils were like black crystal—clear, bright, and brimming with a dazed innocence that made the man’s heart skip.

Meeting that gaze, the man’s inexplicable irritation inexplicably settled, the impatience in his eyes fading away.

He took a deep breath, turning to face Wang Jin with patience as he explained, "You are Xi Yao, younger brother of Xi Ning, the lord of Ning’an City..."
_____

Inside the leader’s courtyard.

The leader had remained by Yue ger’s side the entire time, while the others had long since dispersed.

The leader' A-die had berated the leader, demanding he abandon Yue ger, but when the leader remained unmoved, he had left in disappointment.

Inside the house, Mu ger still lay unconscious on the bed, with Xi ger tending to him.

Lai Yuan and A-Hua helped each other apply medicine to the wounds they couldn’t reach themselves.

The leader sat blankly on the ground in the courtyard. He didn’t touch Yue ger, nor did he allow anyone else to.

He simply stayed there, silently guarding Yue ger, his face pale and conflicted.

After an indeterminable amount of time, Yue ger’s eyelashes fluttered weakly before his eyes slowly opened, pain flashing through them as he let out a series of faint, ragged whimpers.

"..." The leader noticed the moment Yue ger woke. Watching him suffer, his heart twisted in agony. His fingers flexed and clenched repeatedly, fighting the urge to reach out and help him—until he forcibly restrained himself.

Yue ger opened his eyes, as if only just realizing where he was. When he saw the leader, he smiled faintly and tried to move—

Only to abruptly realize his legs were gone, and his fingers hung by threads.
