My Fulang is a Delicate Flower Chapter 49 Part 1

Chapter 49

Early the next morning, the rooster in the yard began crowing. Ji Taoyu instinctively rolled over, ready to go back to sleep, when suddenly his waist was gripped tightly, and he was abruptly pulled upright.

Still dazed and half-asleep, his voice still drowsy, he mumbled, "What are you doing?"

"Get up and practice martial arts with me."

Ji Taoyu's upper body left the warmth of the blankets, making him feel a little cold.

Hearing this, he reluctantly opened his eyes, his mind still a muddled mess. "Huh? Martial arts?"

"Mhm."

Huo Shu got up from the bed and walked toward the clothes rack by the cabinet. "How can you endure a long journey if you don’t toughen up your body?"

Ji Taoyu's voice was heavy with sleep as he slumped drowsily against the blankets.

He buried his head in the blanket, nearly dozing off again. "Father and mother haven’t agreed yet. If they do, I’d get up on my own without you having to tell me."

"No. If they see you still lazing in bed, their agreement might turn into refusal."

Ji Taoyu found these words somewhat familiar.

"Preparations are almost done. We can leave by mid-February, count how many days are left. What if they only agree on the very last day? What then?"

At Huo Shu's words, Ji Taoyu lifted his head from the blanket with great effort.

He thought there was some sense to that, he really ought to break his habit of sleeping in.

Still half-asleep, he leaned toward the edge of the bed curtain, about to ask Huo Shu to pass him his clothes, when he suddenly noticed that the man, who had his back to the bed, had already taken off his upper garment and was now only wearing large shorts that reached just above his knees.

At the sight, Ji Taoyu’s sleepy eyes suddenly gained a bit of alertness.

The white waistband of the shorts outlined Huo Shu’s lean waist, and in the dim light of dawn, his bronze skin seemed to glow with a warm sheen.

As he rummaged for clothes, the muscles in his shoulders and arms shifted subtly. Ji Taoyu’s face warmed as certain thoughts crossed his mind.

Huo Shu sensed the gaze from behind and turned his head. There, he saw the small, delicate figure of Ji Taoyu peeking from behind the bed curtain, his cheeks tinged with an unusual flush.

He didn’t need to ask, he knew this ger was letting his imagination run wild again.

"Where are my clothes?"

"Find them yourself."

Ji Taoyu, noticing Huo Shu’s scrutinizing gaze, quickly dropped the curtain. "You always throw things around carelessly, tossing clothes wherever it’s convenient. Clean and dirty ones get mixed up, so every time I wash them, I end up cleaning ones that were still fresh."

Huo Shu turned back to the bed, gripped the curtain, and looked down at the ger sitting there. "Tell me where they are, and I won’t toss them around anymore."

Ji Taoyu lifted his head, suddenly overwhelmed by Huo Shu's looming presence—the closeness felt thrilling yet unsettling

He turned his face away, lips pressed together stubbornly.

"Since you don’t seem to mind the cold, why not go practice like that?"

Huo Shu suddenly pinched Ji Taoyu’s chin, forcing him to meet his eyes. He narrowed his eyes at the ger. "This mouth is usually so soft when I kiss it, why are the words so sharp?"

Ji Taoyu’s face reddened further. He feebly pushed at Huo Shu. "If you keep this up, I really won’t tell you where your clothes are."

Huo Shu didn’t argue. Instead, he suddenly leaned in so close that Ji Taoyu could clearly see the scars on his toned abdomen.

Ji Taoyu realized his ointment had been quite effective, the crisscrossing scars were noticeably lighter than when he first saw them.

With regular application, the lighter scars would gradually fade further.

But Huo Shu found applying medicine troublesome. If Ji Taoyu didn’t help him, he’d pretend it wasn’t necessary.

"Are you getting up or not?"

Ji Taoyu scooted back slightly but ended up falling onto the bedding. Before he could sit up, Huo Shu had already followed him down.

Pressed tightly together, Huo Shu’s body heat made Ji Taoyu feel like he was hugging a warm stove, at least he wasn’t cold anymore.

But…

Huo Shu was only wearing those thin shorts, and the sensation through the fabric was unmistakable.

His face burned. "Y-you, how can you be like this first thing in the morning!"

Despite his words, Ji Taoyu couldn’t help but let his gaze drift downward.

The embarrassment was real, but so was the curiosity.

Truthfully, he’d already used it, yet he still hadn’t seen its true form.

Huo Shu noticed the ger’s wandering eyes. "You want to look?"

Caught off guard, Ji Taoyu’s face turned crimson.

"I—I—"

After stammering for a moment, he suddenly turned defiant. "What’s wrong with looking?"

Huo Shu paused, then couldn’t help but let out a low chuckle. He buried his face in Ji Taoyu’s neck, nuzzling the soft, delicate skin with his nose.

It was addicting.

Just like this person.

Ji Taoyu blinked up at the canopy. Despite his bold words, he was still shy. Huo Shu rarely laughed, and now he was laughing at him.

His pride stung, and he pouted, giving Huo Shu a weak shove.

Huo Shu relented. "If you don’t want to get up and move, then stay here."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Ji Taoyu felt a familiar motio - his legs were suddenly hooked around Huo Shu’s slender waist.

Now, the sensation was far more obvious than before.

Ji Taoyu’s mind snapped back to reality, and he tensed.

If Huo Shu wanted to do something, there was no stopping him. But who in their right mind woke up at dawn just for this?!

Even at night, Ji Taoyu had been reluctant, how could he possibly agree now!

Fortunately, his hands weren’t restrained yet. In a panic, he wrapped his arms around Huo Shu’s neck and begged, "I’ll get up, I’ll get up right now. Don’t you dare—"

Huo Shu said, "Didn’t you want to see?"
