The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 60 Part 1

Chapter 60

As soon as Wang Jin spoke these words, Yue ger's face turned extremely ugly. Everyone paused, stopping their work to stare at Wang Jin in unison, their eyes flashing with displeasure.

Wang Jin said without restraint, "You weave cloth to prepare for winter. I already have clothes to wear, why should I weave?"

"Nonsense! The only reason you have clothes is because Mu ger worked himself to death weaving for you!" a ger retorted. "Making a pregnant Mu ger work so hard while you laze around, how could you even do that?!"

"How interesting." Wang Jin glanced at the ger who had spoken. "Admittedly, you're right. The fabric and clothes in my home were indeed woven by A-Mu. But only A-Mu has the right to criticize me for that. What right do you have? Who are you to me? Did I take your woven cloth? Or have I taken anything else from you?"

The ger froze. Wang Jin swept his gaze over the other gers. "Just now, you all accused me of taking things from you in exchange for teaching you how to weave. Well, tell me, what exactly did I take from you? Not to mention, you were the ones begging me to teach you. Even if I had demanded something in return, it wouldn’t have been unreasonable. But the truth is, I never took anything from you, yet you still spread lies!"

These gera had never listened to him properly during the lessons. Wang Jin had disliked them from the start, so when they reluctantly brought gifts along with the others, he had found excuses to refuse them on the spot.

Now, Wang Jin felt that had been absolutely the right decision.

Fortunately, he hadn’t taken anything from them, who knew how they would have twisted it otherwise.

Seeing the gers darken their faces and fall silent, Wang Jin continued, "It's true I don’t do anything at home. But let me ask you, what does that have to do with you? How does me staying home affect you?"

"You're just relying on Brother Heng's favor!" one ger couldn’t help but snap.

Wang Jin laughed. "So what if I am? He's my beastman, of course he pampers me! Brother Heng is happy to let me do nothing. Isn’t it strange? I eat his food, wear his clothes, use his things. I don’t lift a finger at home, I even make him do everything and he has no complaints. So why do you care so much? It’s not like I’m eating your food, wearing your clothes, or living in your homes!"

The gers twitched at the corners of their eyes. This was the first time they had seen someone so unapologetic about being spoiled and useless.

After a long silence, one ger finally managed, "Then... then you’re just newly wed! Brother Heng might dote on you now, but wait until you’ve been together longer. See if he’ll still tolerate you like this! We’re only saying this for your own good, so you won’t be left helpless when he gets tired of you!"

With this, the ger seemed to find a suitable justification for their earlier remarks and quickly chimed in.

"That’s right, Jin ger. We’re only thinking of you."

"If we weren’t from the same tribe, we wouldn’t even bother!"

"Exactly. If you still can’t do anything after years together, it won’t just be us looking down on you, the whole tribe will, including Brother Heng."

As if envisioning that future, their eyes filled with disdain and schadenfreude.

In truth, these gers only dared to say such things to Wang Jin’s face because they resented seeing him idle while they worked tirelessly.

Now, imagining how Wang Jin’s laziness would ruin his future, they felt a sense of balance restored, and their expressions lightened.

Yue ger had stayed silent ever since Wang Jin mentioned Yuan Heng. He hated this lunatic bringing up Brother Heng. Every time he did, that smug, blissful look on his face made it seem like he wanted the whole world to know how good his life was.

But all the happiness he was enjoying now should have been his.

Hidden in his sleeves, Yue ger’s hands clenched so tightly his nails dug into his palms. The pain was the only thing keeping his fake gentle expression intact.

"Alright, let’s not argue. A-Jin is my guest. Everyone, do me a favor and stop this. A-Jin has always been pampered. It’s not like you didn’t know that," Yue ger said.

On the surface, his words still seemed to defend Wang Jin, but every syllable carried an undercurrent of mockery about his privileged upbringing.

Wang Jin laughed. "Yue ger, we’re not close. You don’t need to ‘do me favors.’ Both times I came here, it was at your invitation. I only agreed out of respect for the leader. But every time I come..."

He paused. "...my reputation in the tribe worsens."

"A-Jin!" Yue ger cut him off before he could finish, his voice trembling with hurt. "Are you blaming me for this? But I’ve done nothing wrong. I just wanted to be kind to you."

"Your ‘kindness’ is more than I can handle." Wang Jin clasped his hands behind his back. "After today, I won’t be coming back. Stop wasting your effort trying to befriend me. You and I will never be friends."
