The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 58 Part 1

Chapter 58

“You’re quite honest with A-Mu, aren’t you?” The man’s tone carried a hint of jealousy, his words laced with implication.

Wang Jin’s face burned, his gaze flitting away from the man awkwardly, unsure where to land.

When they were apart, he and the man often missed each other, these were private little thoughts they kept tucked away in their hearts. Even if others noticed, they never spoke of them aloud.

After all, saying it out loud felt like laying bare those little secrets for public display, inviting others to scrutinize them - a uniquely embarrassing feeling.

Especially when the "audience" was the very person he missed.

This made Wang Jin even more flustered, his entire body burning with shyness.

But then it occurred to him, they were already married. They had said far more shameless things to each other and done far more intimate things. What was there to be embarrassed about?

Yuan Heng was his beastman, after all. It wasn’t just thinking about him now, even if he wanted to do something overly intimate with his beastman, that was entirely within his rights.

Even so, the blush on Wang Jin’s face didn’t fade. Instead, it spread to the tips of his ears.

He lifted his head, his gaze no longer wandering, and stared straight at the beastman before him. His eyes were moist, shimmering with scattered light like stars in the night sky, so beautiful that the beastman couldn’t resist pressing several kisses around them.

As the sudden wetness touched his eyelids, Wang Jin reflexively closed his eyes. His fingers, resting on his knees, curled tightly into his clothes, his fingertips and lashes trembling faintly.

His long, delicate lashes fluttered like a soft brush, lightly grazing the beastman’s skin as he leaned in, stirring a subtle itch that burrowed deep into his heart.

“These past few days, I’ve missed you, my little ger,” the man murmured in a low voice, the earlier hint of jealousy gone, replaced only with tenderness.

“!” Wang Jin shuddered, his damp eyes flying open. The man had said plenty of shameless sweet nothings before, but this was the first time he’d admitted to missing him.

As he spoke, the man’s light-colored eyes brimmed with a tenderness so warm it felt like hot spring water at just the right temperature. That warmth seemed to seep through the air between them, enveloping Wang Jin until he felt as though he were soaking in it, every inch of him relaxed and content.

The stifling weight in his chest these past few days vanished in an instant. This man was like Wang Jin’s miracle cure, capable of healing every ailment in his body.

Wang Jin’s eyes shone brightly. He puckered his lips, leaning forward slightly to plant a loud kiss on the man’s mouth.

“I missed you too.”

Unlike when he’d said “I missed you” to A-Mu, this time, Wang Jin spoke those words directly to Yuan Heng, shedding the earlier awkwardness and baring his heart’s secret willingly, laying it out before the person he loved, showing him just how much weight he held in his heart.

This act of vulnerability felt like an embrace of intimacy, as though they’d melded into one. Even though they hadn’t done anything particularly intimate, this moment felt closer than any physical act.

Wang Jin’s face burned, and across from him, Yuan Heng’s ears reddened slightly too.

They gazed at each other, no longer fixated on kisses. Instead, they stared unblinkingly, as though trying to etch the other’s face into their hearts—or as if they’d been separated for years and were finally drinking in the sight of each other, drowning in tenderness.

If anyone had witnessed this scene, they might’ve genuinely believed the two had been apart for a decade, reunited at last.

But in reality, Yuan Heng had only been gone for five days, leading the hunting party.

Five days apart had made them cling to each other as though they’d been separated for ten years.

An unidentifiable heartbeat thundered first, drumming loudly in the courtyard, echoing between them as if pounding right beside their ears.

Their faces grew even hotter.

Whether it was during intimate moments or heartfelt confessions, the two of them acted like lovestruck youths, overflowing with sweetness yet tinged with nervousness and awkwardness.

That awkwardness lent their interactions a sweet, endearing air of innocence.

“Here, try these cold cocoons. See if they’re good this time.” After a long moment of staring, Yuan Heng was the first to look away, picking up a bowl of cold cocoons from the table and washing them for Wang Jin.

A faint chill rose from the fruits, cooling to the touch and soothing the heat in Wang Jin’s body. He picked one up and bit into it.

The sweet flavor, paired with its uniquely crisp texture, was deeply satisfying.

Wang Jin gave a small nod but didn’t reach for another after eating just one.

Yuan Heng noticed, looking puzzled, he asked, “Don’t like them?”

He remembered how much Wang Jin had enjoyed them last time, eating handfuls without stopping.

Wang Jin glanced at the cold cocoons. This batch was even sweeter than before. Of course he liked them, but… There were rumors in the tribe that when the man had gone to pick cold cocoons with the leader, most of them had ended up with Yue ger. It was said that beastmen only gathered rare fruits for the ones they loved, so Yue ger’s actions made it seem like he’d monopolized two beastmen at once.

Put that way, the rumors almost made sense. Yuan Heng had indeed gone to pick cold cocoons with the leader for Yue ger’s sake. Setting aside the leader’s invitation, it was as though the man had picked those cold cocoons specifically for Yue ger, only bringing a few back as an afterthought. The idea left a sour taste in Wang Jin’s mouth.

He opened his mouth, wanting to ask the man to stop helping the leader, to stop picking cold cocoons for Yue ger. But he knew that reconciling with the leader was crucial for Yuan Heng’s standing in the tribe. Speaking up would only hold him back.

Not to mention, doing so would make him seem petty and spoiled.

Wang Jin had always been willful and reckless. When he first arrived in this world, he’d bossed the man around at the slightest inconvenience, throwing tantrums left and right. But now, after marrying him, he cared more and more about what Yuan Heng thought.

He was afraid the man would find him too selfish - unable to tolerate even the smallest things.
