The Rebirth of Crazy ger Chapter 52 Part 2

Wang Jin had always enjoyed others’ envy—in his past life, he especially reveled in their admiration of his wealth.

When it came to material possessions, he could generously share them, even giving things away. But Yuan Heng was different. Yuan Heng was one of a kind.

Just like Yuan Heng’s possessiveness, Wang Jin felt the same, that man belonged only to him. Not a single strand of Yuan Heng’s hair could be given to anyone else.

Annoyed, Wang Jin rapped his knuckles on the table and said sternly, “What are you thinking? Brother Heng is already taken!”

“……” The group fell silent, clearly not expecting Wang Jin to react so sharply. Of course, every ger present knew Yuan Heng was taken, their words were just innocent admiration, with no ill intent.

But judging by Wang Jin’s expression, he seemed deeply displeased, as if he’d misunderstood them…

Well then…

So these two are equally possessive of each other!

Awkward, one ger coughed and changed the subject. “Actually… the leader isn’t bad either, right?”

The others quickly took the bait.

“Of course not! He’s the leader, how could he be lacking?”

“Yue ger is lucky to be with the leader.”

“He really is. Let’s just hope he cherishes it.” Suddenly, a voice cut in from behind the group. They turned to see Xi ger.

Dark circles hung under his eyes, as if he hadn’t slept all night, making him look haggard.

“A-Jin, I need to talk to you.”

The others quickly gathered their things and tactfully left.

Mu ger also moved to leave, but Xi ger shook his head, signaling for him to stay.

Mu ger and Wang Jin exchanged puzzled glances.

Xi ger poured himself a cup of water, drank it, and took a moment to compose himself before speaking calmly. “A-Yue… is married now. Do you think his feelings for the leader are genuine?”

“……” Wang Jin and Mu ger froze, neither speaking, but Xi ger seemed to understand their silence.

He smiled bitterly. “So you both know already.”

Mu ger, as if finally making up his mind, turned to Wang Jin and said, “A-Jin, I’ve been meaning to tell you...last night, Yue ger was acting really strange. Even though marriage is a good thing, and now that he has a beastman, he might not dare openly pursue Brother Heng… but as the leader’s ger, he holds influence in the tribe. If he still hasn’t given up, or if he targets you…”

“Exactly. That’s what I’m worried about too.” Xi ger picked up where Mu ger left off. “A-Yue…”

Calling his friend’s name softly, Xi ger shook his head wearily. “He seems different now. I can’t say for sure if he’ll do anything, but A-Jin, you need to be careful. You must guard against him.”

Wang Jin nodded. “I know.”

That person had already made his hostility clear, of course Wang Jin would be on guard.

Xi ger continued, “Master is getting older, and his movements are slower now. He needs constant care, so I won’t be coming around much these days…”

Wang Jin paused. So Xi ger was trying to distance himself from both him and Yue ger…

He didn’t need to say it, Xi ger and Yue ger had been close friends. Now, caught in this situation, Xi ger probably wanted to intervene but didn’t know how… so he chose to retreat instead.

Wang Jin didn’t approve of Xi ger’s avoidance, but he understood.

After all, Xi ger had shared a deep bond with Yue ger. The fact that he had come to warn Wang Jin showed that his sense of right and wrong was intact, he was just too emotionally attached to act decisively.

Mu ger frowned, about to say something to Xi ger, but Wang Jin grabbed his wrist to stop him. Instead, he forced a smile and said, “Alright.”

If Xi ger didn’t want to confront Yue ger, then staying away was better than not.

Xi ger’s expression relaxed, as if a heavy weight had been lifted. He gave Wang Jin a grateful look. “If you ever need anything, you can always come to me.”

“Okay.” Wang Jin smiled faintly. With that, Xi ger didn’t linger and left.

Mu ger gripped Wang Jin’s hand. “A-Jin, Xi ger and Yue ger are friends, maybe he could talk some sense into Yue ger. Why did you let him walk away? We should’ve convinced him to stand with us, to make him see that Yue ger is in the wrong and get him to persuade Yue ger to let go. If Yue ger can just live peacefully, we won’t have any problems.”

Wang Jin pressed his lips together. “Xi ger looked so troubled. If he could’ve persuaded Yue ger, he would’ve done it by now.”

Muttering under his breath, he added, “Besides, what’s there to fear? It’s not like Yue ger can actually eat me.”

Mu ger didn’t catch Wang Jin’s earlier mumble, only hearing his bold declaration, and sighed in exasperation.

Wang Jin was good in many ways, but sometimes he was too trusting. Yue ger was clearly scheming, once he started playing dirty, it’d be hard to guard against.

Just as Mu ger was about to speak, a voice called out from the courtyard gate.

“Who’s trying to eat A-Jin?”

The two looked over to see none other than Yue ger himself, leading a group of gers straight toward them.
