Rebirth with the Beast Chapter 114 Part 1

Chapter 114

Su Yi found the noise irritating, but he was too lazy to open his eyes and speak, so he drifted in and out of sleep, unwillingly enduring the clamor.

After tending to Su Yi, Mino turned his attention to the wandering orc waiting outside. Mino couldn’t help but feel pity for him, like Ian, he had been tormented by that despicable Luoxi. But now that Luoxi was gone, it was a relief.

"You’re injured too. Let me take a look at you," Mino said, approaching the wandering orc.

The wandering orc froze, caught off guard by the sudden kindness. It wasn’t until someone else nudged him forward that he snapped out of his daze.

Mino chuckled at the orc’s awkwardness, remembering how he himself had once been just as timid. But while Mino had been fearful, this wandering orc simply seemed uncomfortable.

When Sinoer was told he was going to be a father, he thought he was hallucinating. It wasn’t until the injured orc repeated the news loudly that Sinoer sprinted back to the valley. Recalling how Su Yi had been unable to stand the smell of blood recently, Sinoer cursed himself for not being more attentive.

Mino’s makeshift infirmary was at his own home. To accommodate patients, he had expanded his yard and added a few extra rooms.

When Sinoer arrived, Su Yi was still half-conscious. Seeing him lying on a dirty fur, weak and pale, Sinoer’s heart clenched painfully.

Su Yi had always been fastidious about cleanliness. Trembling slightly, Sinoer carefully lifted him up into his arms. The place was crowded with injured people, noisy and chaotic. Sinoer wanted to take Su Yi home, but someone blocked his path.

He looked up and saw the wandering orc frowning at him.

"When I found him, he was surrounded by beasts in a house. If I hadn’t arrived in time, his baby would’ve been in danger," the wandering orc said, his tone accusatory. Clearly, he thought Sinoer was a terrible mate for not even realizing Su Yi was pregnant.

Sinoer paused, then quietly thanked him. He knew the orc was reprimanding him, but he had no defense. This was his fault, he had been too preoccupied with the valley’s affairs to notice Su Yi’s symptoms.

Carrying Su Yi back, Sinoer changed him into fresh clothes and wrapped him in the softest fur he could find.

"Su Yi? Su Yi?" Sinoer whispered in his ear.

Su Yi groggily opened his eyes and blinked at him in confusion. "Why are you back?"

"Listen to me. Take me into your space now," Sinoer coaxed gently.

  "Why?" Su Yi frowned.

"Just do it first!" Sinoer insisted.

Su Yi had no choice but to grab Sinoer’s hand and pull them both into the space.

Sinoer carried Su Yi effortlessly, heading straight for the bedroom.

"Su Yi, you’re having baby. It’s too chaotic and cold outside. Stay here and rest. You can come out when you’re feeling better, okay?" Sinoer laid him on the bed, amused by how Su Yi nuzzled against him like a clingy child.

"But what about outside? Wait—" Su Yi suddenly realized something was off.

  Baby? What baby?

The drowsy man abruptly sat up, only to sway dizzily from the sudden movement.

Sinoer steadied him, then placed a hand on Su Yi’s still-flat stomach. "You... you just said I have what?"

Su Yi’s hair was a mess, his eyes wide and bewildered, his expression adorably dumbfounded. Sinoer’s heart itched with affection.

Leaning in, Sinoer kissed his cheek. "A baby. You’re carrying our baby."

Su Yi wanted to say something, but seeing Sinoer’s joyful expression, he held back. He didn’t want Sinoer to know he didn’t want another child. His face twitched before forcing a sweet smile.

"Hahaha, pregnant, pregnant... that’s, that’s great."

Inside, Su Yi’s mind was in turmoil: No wonder I’ve been so off lately, it’s pregnancy symptoms! I thought I was just lethargic from spring fatigue.

"Alright, it’s warm, quiet, and safe in here. Rest well. Outside should be secure by tomorrow. If I’m not in the room when you come out, don’t leave on your own," Sinoer instructed, tucking him back in.

After sending Sinoer out, Su Yi lifted the blanket with mixed emotions and rubbed his stomach. It was surreal, a tiny life was growing inside him.

Though he had sworn he didn’t want kids, now that it had happened, he couldn’t just not have it. His only redeeming quality was his adaptability, like when he’d been reborn as someone else’s wife.

Most rugged men would’ve fought tooth and nail upon hearing such news, but not him.

"What others desperately wish for, Tang Yu and I just keep stumbling into," Su Yi muttered before flopping back down.

This time, when he woke, a full day had passed.

Starving, Su Yi grabbed a fruit, nibbled on it, and stepped out of the space, only to be immediately swept into someone’s arms.

Sinoer exhaled in relief. He’d been afraid Su Yi would oversleep and forget to come out.

Su Yi sniffed. Sinoer smelled nice, he must have bathed and applied some kind of fragrance.

Noticing Su Yi’s action, Sinoer smiled. "Mino made this scent. He said your strong reaction to blood might mean you’re carrying a female."

  A female?

"You can tell that already?" Su Yi found it incredible.

"Of course. Look at Tang Yu, he barely had any symptoms because he’s carrying an orc child. But you’ve been so sensitive from the start. It must be a female."
