Rebirth with the Beast Chapter 103 Part 1

Chapter 103

In the eyes of these people, Su Yi now had a somewhat mythical aura, to use a term from his original world. First, Su Yi had suddenly fallen ill, his hair turning white as if he was on the verge of death. Then, to save Tang Yu, Su Yi had been struck in the chest by a wandering orc, leaving a gaping hole. In both cases, Su Yi should have died without a doubt. Yet, he had suddenly disappeared and reappeared less than two days later, alive and well, with his white hair turned back to the original black color.

Because of this, Su Yi had inexplicably gained a certain status in their hearts. When Su Yi suggested postponing the matter, although they were unhappy, they still agreed.

Seeing that no one objected, Su Yi glanced at the female who was crying. He didn’t seem to be seriously injured, which put Su Yi at ease. He patted the young orc’s head.

“Come on, take me to see how he’s doing.”

Su Yi didn’t specify who “he” was, but the young orc wasn’t stupid. His large, sunken eyes rolled around, and without a word, he pulled Su Yi to the side.

After putting Tang Yu down, Sinoer came looking for Su Yi. Seeing Su Yi being led away, Sinoer followed.

This was the second time Su Yi had seen the unknown orc, but the impact was just as strong as the first. The unknown orc was still very weak, looking as if he could die at any moment.

How could someone on the verge of death still have the energy to do anything to a female?

Su Yi sighed. He had thought that after saving this person, he would improve. But seeing the young unknown orc’s condition, Su Yi realized he had been too naive.

The way these people treated Sinoer and Jells differently was because they were strong and had powerful partners like Su Yi and Tang Yu.

Even if the ordinary people disliked unknown orcs, they still needed Sinoer and Jells to protect them. So, no matter how dissatisfied they were, they wouldn’t show it.

But this young unknown orc was different. First, he didn’t have a strong physique and posed no threat to anyone.

Su Yi smiled bitterly. No matter how simple and honest these people seemed, the law of the jungle, bullying the weak and fearing the strong existed everywhere.

“Will he… die?” the young orc suddenly asked in a small voice.

Su Yi, who had been lost in thought, was startled by the question.

“No, he won’t,” Su Yi said with a smile, then instructed the young orc to keep an eye on him.

The young unknown orc was even thinner than when Su Yi had first seen him. The young orc who had been taking care of him also seemed to have lost weight. Su Yi didn’t understand. Although the journey had been tough, everyone had been eating well. At least, Su Yi had noticed that the other children had gained a little weight recently, and some females looked healthier and smiled more often.

Since everyone was eating the same food, there was no reason for these two to be so thin.

Su Yi sneered inwardly, guessing that someone must have been deliberately withholding their food.

Su Yi took some diluted pool water from his space and mixed it into the medicine Mino had prepared, then had Sinoer deliver it. Meanwhile, he walked over to the main group and asked with a smile, “Do you usually get your food yourselves, or is it distributed by someone?”

Hearing Su Yi’s question, a few females who wanted to get closer to him immediately rushed to answer. “Usually, it’s distributed by a female.”

One female with a louder voice shouted, and Su Yi followed their pointing fingers to the person they were indicating.

It was the female who had been crying earlier.

  Su Yi instantly understood.

It seemed that this female and the young unknown orc had some old grudge.

Su Yi’s judgment was based on evidence. This female was responsible for distributing food to everyone, but the young orc and the unknown orc had been given less. This indicated that the grudge between them wasn’t recent, it must have existed before. The female had been withholding their food daily, and when they were assigned to ride on the same orc, she had framed the young unknown orc.

Su Yi overturned his earlier assumption. He had thought it was a case of the strong bullying the weak, but now it seemed to be a personal vendetta.

Su Yi asked the females for some food to give to the young orc. Although Su Yi had food in his space, it was something he and Sinoer had worked hard to collect. He wouldn’t use it unless absolutely necessary. The food he asked for was something they were entitled to.

Su Yi took the food, put it in a worn animal skin bag, and gave it to the young orc.

By now, the young unknown orc had drunk the medicine Sinoer had given him. The person who had been in a daze for so long had finally woken up.

The young orc was clearly happy and handed the food to the unknown orc. The young orc glanced at Su Yi, his eyes filled with gratitude.

This young unknown orc was quiet and reserved. Despite suffering immense injustice, he didn’t say a word.

Su Yi crouched down and examined the young unknown orc's wounds. Many of them had already festered. Su Yi couldn’t help but frown. After thinking for a moment, he took out another jar from his pocket.

The rainy season was almost over. Today, there had only been a light drizzle, and then the sun had come out.

Although the sun was out, it wasn’t warm. The young unknown orc, being an orc, shouldn’t have felt cold, but because his wounds were inflamed, he had a fever and was trembling slightly.

Su Yi glanced around to make sure no one was watching, then lowered his voice and instructed the young orc, “Apply this medicine to his wounds. Do it twice a day, morning and night. It might hurt a bit when you apply it.”

The medicine Su Yi gave was something he had diluted for his own use. However, seeing the young unknown orc's condition, Su Yi couldn’t help but feel that the young unknown orc reminded him of Sinoer. Sinoer was also someone who rarely spoke, and if he was wronged, he would probably react the same way.

“Su Yi, Jells says we’ll be home today,” Tang Yu suddenly called out happily from a distance.

Su Yi turned around and saw Tang Yu walking toward him, holding a large animal leg in his hands and munching on it.

The leg Tang Yu was holding was thicker than his own waist, leaving the onlookers stunned.

Tang Yu didn’t care. All he knew was that his son was hungry.

Jells walked beside Tang Yu, carrying half a roasted animal. Tang Yu now looked like a heroic figure from ancient times, which Su Yi found oddly amusing.
