Rebirth with the Beast Chapter 102 Part 1

Chapter 102

Hunter arranged for the orcs to escort the females and children from nearby tribes back to their homes. As a result, some of the orcs couldn’t return with the main group.

However, this wasn’t a big issue because the orcs sent to bring reinforcements were expected to arrive soon.

Each orc escorting the females and children carried a prey to serve as food for the journey.

For two days straight, Su Yi tirelessly worked with Sinoer to process and transport prey to his space. Su Yi’s behavior was like a hamster constantly hoarding food in its nest. To avoid raising suspicions, Su Yi only dragged prey from the edges of the area.

Compared to Su Yi’s hardworking “little bee” attitude, Tang Yu seemed to have transformed into a lazy pig. His taste preferences had recently become increasingly peculiar, with a newfound obsession for spicy food. However, there weren’t many chili peppers in the area. And Su Yi was the type of person who found it difficult to take things out of his space once they were inside.

To satisfy Tang Yu’s cravings, the other orcs had been helping to search for chili peppers these past few days.

After a few days, the reinforcements finally arrived.

Since some females and children had recklessly run out on their own, a few had been confirmed dead, and one or two were still missing. Additionally, some had already been sent back. Now, only eleven females and children remained.

Hunter assigned four orcs to carry these people on their backs. The rest were tasked with taking the remaining prey from the ground.

The strong smell of blood from the prey attracted many beasts during the journey. However, with their large numbers, they weren’t too worried.

A few times, beasts caught up to them. Su Yi volunteered to team up with Sinoer to kill the beasts. Su Yi’s enthusiasm wasn’t out of a desire to help the group but rather to secure more and more food.

In their pursuit of prey, Su Yi and Sinoer gradually fell to the back of the group.

When Tang Yu noticed Su Yi and Sinoer were missing, he couldn’t help but pat Jells. “They must be collecting food at the back. Let’s stop and wait for them.”

Su Yi was cleaning a prey when he felt a gust of wind above him. He squinted and looked up to see a dragon descending. No matter how many times he saw it, Su Yi couldn’t help but marvel at Jells’ beast form.

After Jells landed, someone slid off his back. Tang Yu let out a soft hum, protectively placing a hand on his stomach. His belly was still flat, showing no signs of pregnancy. However, Tang Yu had been taking extra care of his stomach recently, mainly because he was afraid Jells might think he didn’t like the child, which would sadden Jells.

Jells quickly reached out to carry Tang Yu.

“No, no, I can walk on my own,” Tang Yu immediately protested, trying to push Jells away. But Jells stubbornly refused to let go.

Su Yi rolled his eyes, not wanting to continue watching their display of affection.

“Why aren’t you hurrying along with the group?” Su Yi asked, his hands moving quickly as he worked.

Tang Yu’s lips curled into a smile. “I wanted to see if there’s any food that suits my taste. I knew you must be collecting food.”

Su Yi tapped the dagger in his hand and pointed at a pile of internal organs on the ground. “Do you want to eat this?”

Tang Yu lowered his head to look at the internal organs, but the sight almost made him vomit. In the past, Tang Yu had often handled prey and touched internal organs without any issues. However, ever since he became pregnant, he felt like he had become overly sensitive and fragile.

Seeing Tang Yu’s discomfort, Su Yi took out a sour fruit from a basket nearby. Although Su Yi had never been pregnant himself, he knew that pregnant person often craved either spicy or sour foods.

“It’s sour. I’m not sure if it’ll suit your taste,” Su Yi warned. Tang Yu cautiously took a bite.

Su Yi and Jells watched Tang Yu nervously. Tang Yu had been eating a lot of spicy food recently, which wasn’t particularly healthy. They had been trying to get him to eat other things.

Tang Yu paused for a moment, then nodded happily. “This fruit tastes pretty good.”

Hearing this, Jells immediately spread out a animal hide and helped Tang Yu sit down.

“I’ll go look around nearby. Stay here and don’t wander around.”

Jells glanced at Sinoer, who was dragging prey back in the distance. Although he gave the instruction, he felt reassured knowing Sinoer was nearby.

Tang Yu waved his hand dismissively. “Alright, alright, go ahead. I have Su Yi here with me.”

Once Jells left, Tang Yu immediately acted like a child, waving his hand in front of Su Yi.

Su Yi looked at him, puzzled. Tang Yu pouted. “You came back from the dead, so you must have something good. Don’t keep it to yourself, share it with me.”

Su Yi finally understood what Tang Yu was asking for.

He took out a few more fruits and handed them to Tang Yu. “Tang Yu, when I was on the brink of death, I accidentally ingested something, and it caused me terrible stomach pain. So, I’m not entirely sure if that thing is beneficial or not.”

Sinoer returned, dragging prey. He didn’t ask what Su Yi and Tang Yu were discussing, simply walking to the water’s edge to process the prey.

“Aren’t you supposed to be smart? You could totally test it on an injured animal!” Tang Yu said, looking proud of his idea. His suggestion was actually quite clever.

Su Yi walked over to Sinoer, who was standing next to a barely alive Bill Dragon. This type of dragon was small, about half the height of a person, and rarely caught.

Su Yi took out some pool water from his space and fed it to the Bill dragon.

The barely alive creature suddenly began convulsing, looking as if it were about to die.

“Such a violent reaction?” Tang Yu was stunned. He had initially wanted to try some of the pool water himself to boost his constitution. But after seeing the dragon convulse, he suddenly regretted the idea.

They waited a while longer, and then a miracle happened. The convulsing dragon suddenly staggered to its feet, and its wounds began to heal at a visible rate.

Tang Yu’s jaw dropped, and his eyes widened. “Heavens, is this magic?”

Su Yi, who had witnessed it firsthand, was still equally shocked.

Compared to them, Sinoer remained calm. He simply punched the snarling Bill Dragon, knocking it to the ground again.

After this, Su Yi lost interest in continuing to hunt and decided to focus on studying the miraculous pool water.
