Rebirth to Erase Dark History Chapter 5 Part 1

Chapter 5 The fighting strength is too weak

The first day of school was the hardest, it was impossible to let go the wildness he had during the holidays for a while. Yang Jiabo finally finished his morning class and was taken home by Yang Jianjun. As soon as he arrived at the door of his house, Yang Jiabo saw a young woman entering his third uncle Yang Jianguo next door. After Yang Jianguo separated his family, he opened a separate door.

Yang Jiabo saw that the young woman looked familiar, so he opened his mouth and asked, "Dad, who is she? Is she my third uncle's little lover?"

"How can a little kid like you learn such messy things? That's your third aunt's sister." Yang Jianjun glared at his son angrily.

"So it's like that" Yang Jiabo nodded thoughtfully and asked, "What time does my mother get off work today?"

"She brought food this morning because she is going to work overtime."

Yang Jiabo breathed a sigh of relief, it's not today.

He still vaguely remembered that after his third aunt's sister came in the previous life, the two sisters had a vigorous fight with his mother, as a result his mother went to the hospital. Even though his mother was usually very capable in fighting, she was just a paper tiger.

[纸老虎 zhǐlǎohǔ: paper tiger, refers to something or someone that claims or appears to be powerful or threatening but is actually ineffectual and unable to withstand challenge]

Only his grandparents were at home at noon, and his little aunt went to work.

Yang Huiying said cheerfully: "Jiajia is back. Today your grandpa cooked your favorite pork and pickled vegetables stir fry."

When there were no other children at home, Yang Qiaohui was still kind to him. Yang Jiabo couldn't help but frown when he heard that it was grandpa's 'special' pork and pickled vegetables stir fry. Grandpa's cooking skills were the worst in the family. He liked to add more sugar when he stir fried pork and pickled vegetables, his stir fry was too dry.

"I don't want to eat that today. Dad, please give me something else to eat." Yang Jiabo looked at Dad Yang pitifully.

Yang Jianjun almost always responded to his son's requests, and he basically never refused as long as it was within his ability.

"Would you like something sweet or salty?" Yang Jianjun rolled up his sleeves and went to the kitchen.

When Yang Jiabo was a child, he didn't like to eat rice. He only liked to eat noodles, steamed stuffed bun, steamed buns and other food made from wheat flour. Even when eating, there must be mea, he didn't like vegetables. He also had a particular fondness for sweets, and his parents were always worried that he would damage his teeth.

"Eat something salty." Yang Jiabo thought for a while and quickly changed his mind: "It's better to eat something sweet."

Yang Jiabo patted his chest and secretly thought it was a dangerous situation. The only time he was beaten by his father in his previous life was because of noodles. At that time, his father asked him if he wanted sweet noodles or salty noodles. He said salty noodles.

After his father cooked the noodles, he wanted to eat something sweet again, so he asked his father to cook sweet noodles for him. So the salty noodles were given to grandpa. While waiting for the noodles to be cooked, he felt that the salty noodles his grandpa ate were quite delicious, so he changed his mind again.

At that time, their family still used earthen stoves that firewood, which was very troublesome. Yang Jiabo was tossing back and forth like this, which completely annoyed his father. His father immediately kicked his white and tender little butt, so he fell to the ground and successfully had a large blue spot on his butt.

After reminiscing, Yang Jiabo wiped the non-existent beads of sweat from his forehead and absolutely refused to admit that the willful little kid who tormented others was himself.

Soon, the aroma of noodles wafted out from the kitchen. Yang Jiabo swallowed saliva and walked into the kitchen with his short legs. Alas, it's because as a child I just can't stand being hungry, it's definitely not because I'm glutton.

"Are you hungry?" Yang Jianjun asked with a smile.

Yang Jiabo nodded, leaning on the stove with his feet, looking at the steaming heat.

"It'll be ready soon, little glutton cat."

"Glutton student, hungry tiger." Grandpa Zhang Zhengrong also entered the kitchen at some point.

"I'm still young and get hungry easily." Yang Jiabo, a child, retorted.

Zhang Zhengrong didn't say anything, took the bowl and chopsticks and went to the yard. In summer, they basically ate under the grape trellis, which was pleasantly cool and spacious.

Yang Jiabo's family was from the south, and the noodles they cooked were usually alkaline noodles. For sweet noodles, after cooking the noodles, add a spoonful of lard and some sugar. A little bit of salt was also added to increase the sweetness.

Yang Jianjun brought the noodles to the table in the courtyard, and Yang Jiabo followed behind him. The Yang grandparents were still waiting for them to eat, and the family could finally have lunch.

Yang Jiabo sucked the noodles, and the oily and sweet taste spread in his mouth. This was a pure taste that he wouldn't be able to enjoy in the future. Yang Jiabo's eyes swept over his grandparents and his father's body. In his previous life, the memories of these few years were the happiest. The family was not short of money, his father doted on him, and other people in the family treated him well.

After eating, Yang Jiabo placed the summer sleeping mat (e.g. of woven split bamboo) at the corridor (the foot of the wall). He fell asleep hugging his little quilt and snoring. This habit of taking a nap was developed in his previous life.

In the afternoon, Yang Jianjun sent his son to school in high spirits, and he himself was busy going to work. At the school gate, Yang Jiabo met the Wei brothers.

"Jiajia, come and play at my house after school. My dad came back from a business trip and brought a lot of candies and chocolates." Wei Feng was very excited.

For Yang Jiabo, this was an irresistible temptation. The conditions of the Wei family were really good, and the quality and taste of their candies and snacks were definitely guaranteed. However, Yang Jiabo hesitated when he thought of his mother at home.

Wei Jing knew how much Yang Jiabo loved sweets. He was like an ant that couldn't move when it saw sweets. Seeing him like this, there must be something wrong.
